He did not speak. Did not move. He did not blink. He did not look away. He simply stared, eyes fixed on her as she continued eating. She was beginning to get a bit self conscious about it, honestly.
He had a piercing, sharp, intense gaze, that seemed to be judging her every action and move.
Even her smallest, most insignificant movement was scrutinized under his eyes, as if he could detect some flaw, some imperfection in her behavior or mannerisms that she was not even aware of herself, or that she was doing wrong.
Honestly.
It was.
Annoying.
In the end, she settled on glaring right back at him.
If he could glare at her, two could play that game.
She didn't have to be the bigger person in this instance, in fact. It would be a mistake to let him walk over her and her husbands.
And she still especially wouldn't let anyone be rude to Lyov or Snowball either.
Besides, it wasn't like she was starting things.
