strange dream(chapter 4)

Nate was running fast deep into the thick forest,it was dark though he couldn't see clearly where he was going he didn't slow down.He saw a man lying on his stomach groaning in pain,he grew anxious and held him,he looked at him worriedly "what happened why are you injured?" he asked the man.He didn't respond,he coughed a mouthful of blood,his body was covered with blood with deep open wounds.Nate didn't know what had happened to him,"hold on I'll take you to the healer" he said helping the man to stand.He was heavy so Nate was unable to carry him,the man chuckled "you're indeed a good actor....you almos ....st .....made ....m....me...be..... believe...you ...care" he said with alot of difficulty and coughed blood,he held his chest in pain.Nate was confused,what is he saying he wondered "hurry let's go before it's too late" but before he could help the man stand up,the man pushed him, though he didn't use much force due to injuries he was able to make Nate loose his hold on his hand.The man stared at Nate with a hurt expression "why...did.....you.....do.....this?" Nate looked at the man,he didn't understand what he meant."What are you talking about?" he asked with tears in his eyes,he moved closer to hold him but the man pushed him again."You...said....you wanted .....to ...have....my heart,.....I didn't think you meant.... literally,....I was.....so stupid to think...you....eve...ever loved me",Nate looked at him confused.Suddenly five people covered with black clothes surrounded them,Nate became alert,when he saw them he knew who they were and want they wanted but he swore to not let them succeed.The man laughed with tears in his eyes "finally you're all here" he looked at Nate and smiled bitterly "I've always loved you but I never...knew you will... betray me like this.....if we have another chance in ... life...I'll still love you ...even if you.....don't love me".Nate couldn't stop his tears "no!no!!!no!, it's a misunderstanding I never betrayed you,,,,listen I'll take you to the healer now,I'll explain everything later,I won't let anyone hurt you".

"It's time" said one of the female covered in black clothe,the others laughed happily "we have finally succeeded all our wait wasn't in vain,sorry but you can't save him now,poor soul he was betrayed by his beloved,I feel your pain but don't worry I'll make it less painful,I still care for you" said a young female sarcastically."You're.....wrong,I won't let you succeed" the man said,the five people looked at him mockingly,he looked at Nate and smiled "I love you...since all you ever wanted was....my heart.....I'll give it to you.....I'll always love....you"Nate looked at him confused,tears in his eyes,the man dug his heart out using his bare hands.Everyone was shocked,Nate screamed in pain and anguish,he kept calling the man's name but he didn't respond,he closed his eyes a tear fell on his cheek and he lied on his arms lifelessly.Nate woke up his heart beating wildly and tears in his eyes,he sat on the bed but he couldn't stop crying,the heartache he felt was so real that he felt suffocated.He held his chest in pain,he felt miserable,after sometime he managed to calm down,he drank cold water and sat down on his bed.He didn't understand what type of dream he had,the pain in the dream was so real like he wasn't dreaming but what happened was real.He couldn't see the man in his dream nor could he remember his voice,he felt sad and lost,he felt longing but he didn't know for who.What he didn't know was that a few strands of his hair had turned grey.

Next morning,Nate was absent minded during all the classes,even his friend Jason noticed "what's wrong?"asked Jason worriedly.Nate shook his head "it's nothing I'm just hungry" he replied,Jason knew he was lying but he didn't want to force him to talk "let's go to the cafeteria since you already have your meal card you should buy us some snacks" said Natalie who sat next to Jason,Nate agreed and they all went to the cafeteria.As they sat down eating their snacks while chatting,a handsome tall guy sat next to Kate "hello guys" he greeted,they were all startled by him "hi" they all replied."I'm Desmond your senior,may I know your names?" the guy said and smiled widely.They all introduced themselves,the guy kept on looking at Nate,"you're pretty for a boy" he complimented, Nate smiled politely but didn't reply, though he was used to people looking at him he felt uncomfortable when Desmond stared at him unblinkingly.

"Let's go,stop bothering them" said a handsome boy, Desmond smiled and looked at the boy "what's wrong I'm just trying to make friends" he said,they guy rolled his eyes and pulled Desmond away "we will meet later" he said and both went to sit in their usual table,those who were in the cafeteria kept on looking at Nate's table."Why are they looking at us?" asked Nate,"that's because of the gossip about you and savage,now the second most popular boy came to our table, of course they are curious,how you have managed to gain their attention" Kate said smiling.Nate didn't like being the centre of the attention,he became uncomfortable even his friends notice,Natalie suggested they go and play some games on the school field.

Nate together with Natalie were partners while Jason and Kate were partner while they played double tennis,They were having fun and Nate felt him mood improve,they happily played for some time while others students were either watching or busy doing their own thing,Savage stood at the rooftop of the tallest building in the school,his friends Daniel and his twin sister Daniella,James and Paul were seated chatting happily while playing cards.Daniel kept looking at Savage and became curious at what he was staring so intently,James was aware what he was looking at but he didn't say anything."What are you looking at Savage?" asked Daniel,Savage didn't turn his head to look at him or reply,this hurt Daniel's ego,h never liked it when he ignored him, so he stood and looked what he was staring at.After he saw what he was looking at he burned with jealousy,he looked at the people playing double tennis with hate,he realised one of them was the boy Savage had carried to the clinic."Do you want to play?,we can play together" he said, Savage didn't reply.Daniel was about to lose his mind and say something stupid but his sister stopped him by shaking her head.

"Savage will you go home this coming weekend?" asked paul a tall guy with sharp eyes like eagles."mmm",Paul looked at him "can't you reply with a yes or no" he said,savage didn't say anything.He didn't want to waste his time talking to them he had other important things to look at,Daniel couldn't bare it and said "why are you staring at them?did they offend you?if they did I'll teach them a lesson" he said angrily.Savage turned and looked at him,his eyes darkened, after seeing this they all became alert , Savage took a step towards Daniel,he became scared and gulped hard,sweat formed on his forehead,his heart beating wildly.He held his neck with his hand and squeezed it,his eyes turned dark red"speaking of teaching a lesson,I'll teach you one,I have warned you to never throw a ball at me but you didn't obey me,DO YOU HAVE A DEATH WISH?" he asked coldly.Paul and James all stood up "calm down Savage you will strangled him to death" Paul said,Savage turned and looked at him coldly,Paul zipped his mouth.Daniel was suffocating he couldn't breath he looked at his sister with a pleading look,"Savage please forgive him,for my sake,I promise he won't do that ever again" Daniella said in a pleading tone.James didn't say anything he didn't want to be strangled again,he well knew Savage's wrath was unbearable he didn't wish to face it again.

Savage pushed him,he fell hard on his butt,he looked at savage but he didn't look at him,he knew he would get angry but as always he thought he was just going to scold him,he didn't expect he would strangle him.His heart was filled with bitterness but he said nothing,he blamed the boy who jumped to block the ball for Savage,he made Savage misunderstand him.His twin sister helped him up and excused themselves and left "don't you think you were a little harsh on him" said Paul carefully,"I've warned him multiple times not to throw the ball at me but he never listens,I hate it when someone doesn't obey simple instructions" replied Savage emotionless."You should learn how to control your temper or else you won't have a girlfriend" James said jokingly,"I don't need one" replied savage.He kept watching as Nate and his friends play double tennis,his friends sat and continued playing cards,a smile appeared on his face as they kept on playing and urging.Three guys approached them as they played,Savage saw them and his eyes turned dark red,his face turned cold,he clenched his fist,the air around him was chilling while his eyes had a killing intended,Paul and James felt the abnormality and looked at Savage,they were suprised at what they saw.Savage looked like he was going to kill someone and by the expression he had they knew who it was,they didn't dare to make a sound.He looked like a hungry demon who wants to devour your whole being,they knew if the cherished their lives they should leave him alone,they quickly left without looking back.
