Who really is the danger?(chapter 6)

Nate was walking towards his class,he woke up late and Jason had left without him,he hoped the lecturer won't scold him for being late.He was walking fast when he saw Savage talking to a handsome guy in an empty lecture hall.He stopped walking and looked at them,he hid so they won't see him,he saw the boy smile when Savage said something to him,he couldn't hear what they were saying.Nate felt suffocated and bitter, he didn't like seeing Savage talking to that boy in an empty lecture hall,though they weren't doing anything bad he felt his mood sour.He felt his heart being squeezed,he couldn't breath well,he had liked Savage since the first times he saw him in the cafeteria though they rarely talked every time he saw Savage his heart would beat wildly.He never told anyone about his feelings for him,this was his first time falling in love and he was scared,he knew Savage was not in his league,he feared being rejected by his first love,after hearing rumours of how Savage rejects his admirers brutally he decided to never confess his feelings it was better this way.The other day when Savage had told him to stay away from Desmond he had hoped he was a little jealous or concerned about him or maybe he felt something for him too but he didn't want to raise his hopes up.

He knew he didn't have the right to be jealous but he couldn't help it,seeing him talk to the guy he burned with jealous but he couldn't do anything about it,it's not like they were close for him to be jealous."He said I should stay away from Desmond yet he is busy flirting with this guy" he murmured.He turned and left heading to his class,he thought no one had seen or heard him but Savage did,he watched his back as he left and smiled,he had seen him and he felt happy when he saw the jealous look on his face.Daniel was surprised when he saw Savage smile,he thought he smiled because of what he said,his heart beat increased and a flush appeared on his cheeks.If anyone saw this they would melt,he looked cute when he was blushing but Savage felt nothing looking at him.If not because they were friends he wouldn't waste his time talking to him,He had called him here just to apologise because of what he had done,when he saw Savage smile he thought he had forgiven him "thanks Savage I promise not to repeat the same mistake again" he said,Savage nodded his head and left.Daniel felt like he was in heaven he never knew that Savage will smile at him,he wasn't even angry at him "I still have a chance I'll confess during the weekends,he won't reject me,maybe he feels the same way" he said.If only he knew that smile was because of a certain someone he wouldn't be so happy.

Nate sat on his chair next to Jason,they all could tell that something was wrong,he seemed really angry and ready to explode at any moment.Nate spend the whole day with a sour mood,his friends were careful to not offend him,they were worried about him but didn't want to pressure him to share,they all tried making jokes to lighten his mood but it was useless.After classes were over,they sat on the bench watching football practice,the person who had made Kate's mood sour was busy preparing a beautiful and unforgettable confession."Hello there" greeted Desmond with a smile on his face as usual,he was alone without his friends,"hi" they all responded.He sat next to Kate "will you all go home this coming weekend?" he asked,"I'll go what about you Jason?" Natalie asked "I'll also go home " Jason replied "me too" Kate said."What about you Nate?" Jason asked,Nate smiled "I'll stay" he said,"why don't you wanna go home?" Desmond asked,Nate smiled "I don't have a home,I grew up in an orphanage".Desmond was suprised he didn't know Nate was an orphan " ooh I'm sorry I didn't know about that" "no problem " Nate replied." You seem to be in a bad mood come I'll show you something maybe it will cheer you up" he said and stood up.Nate didn't feel like going "I'm good" he said," you know I don't take no for an answer let's go,it won't take long" he said."I'll be back" he told his friend,he gave his backbag to his friend Jason " I'll be in my room in tired and want to take a nap" Jason said.Both Desmond and Nate walked towards the forest " why are we going to the forest" Nate asked,Desmond smiled I want to show you something,I'm sure you will like it" he said.They walked further deep into the forest,it was silent and there was no one around "isn't forbidden to come here?" Nate asked,Desmond shrugged his shoulders "who cares,no one comes here so we won't get in trouble,are you scared?" he asked,Nate shook his head "that's fine then let's go what I want to show you is deep in the forest,don't worry I'm here so nothing will happen to you" he assured.They walked deep into the forest," this is what I wanted to show you" he said pointing at nannyberry tree " they're sweet,you seem to be in a bad mood and I thought eating something sweet will make your mood improve" he said." How did you know that they grow here?" asked Nate curiously "I usually come here when I want to be alone and saw them" he replied.

Desmond picked the nannyberry from the tree "take as many as you want,you can even pick some for your friends,there is a lake nearby we will wash them there" he said.Nate picked a lot of nannyberry and both went to the lake to wash them,they sat near the lake while eating the berries."Thanks for this" Nate said,"no need to thank me we're friends right?" Desmond said,Nate chuckled "yeah".They chatted until it was dark "I'll go ease myself I'll be back real quick then we can go back together" Desmond said and stood up to leave.Nate was left all alone,it was dark and quite,he hoped Desmond to be done quickly so they can leave before his friends become worried.Nate felt some noise coming from a bush,he stood up thinking it was Desmond " are you done?" he asked but there was no response.He become uneasy,if someone was to find him here,he will be punished,he regretted agreeing to come in the forest.

Three pair of red eyes were looking at him,they were hiding behind tall trees,one of the guys smiled " Wow Desmond you managed to get him here?" he said,Desmond smiled " yeah,it wasn't that hard this foolish human is so trusting" he said."But if something happens to him won't his friends report you were with him?" asked the other guy " don't worry I'll deal with that,I can't wait to see Savage's reaction when he sees his baby hurt".They looked at Nate with malicious smile on their faces," just wait I'll tell you when to go,let's play with our prey,the more he is scared the more exciting " Desmond said.After waiting for sometime Nate become anxious,he hoped nothing wrong had happened to Desmond, he decided to head where he had gone and try looking for him.Nate was searching for Desmond near the bushes,he couldn't shake the feeling of being watched,he had heard there were wild animals in forest.Desmond and his friends approached him slowly,Nate heard some noise and turned around but he didn't see anything,he felt danger approaching him and his heart beat increased,he gulped hardly."Where is he?" he asked anxiously,he heard the noise again and quickly turned,it was so dark,he couldn't see clearly.He heard someone chuckle,he become alert and looked around.He knew something was wrong,"Nate" he heard someone call him in faint sound,he turned but didn't see anyone,he wondered if the forest was haunted.He heard slow footsteps approaching him, he could clearly sense the danger,he wanted to scream but he couldn't, feeling the danger approaching suddenly his green eyes started turning white,he felt relaxed and secure,his body turned cold and light,his hair slowly started turning grey,he clicked his tongue and smiled,he wasn't scared,he looked like a hunter waiting for the prey to take the bait.He clearly heard the footsteps like the person was running towards him,he smirked "vampires" he murmured coldly but before he could react he felt the person touch his shoulder "what are you doing here" he asked,Nate was suprised he knew this voice well,his eyes and hair turned back to normal " Savage" he called and turned to look at him."What are you doing here?don't you know it's forbidden to come here??" he asked angrily.Nate smiled and hugged him " I'm glad you come, I was really scared" he said.Savage was shocked when Nate hugged him but he was so angry to enjoy the warmthIt " let's go" he said," what about Desmond?" he asked,Savage gritted his teeth "he can take care of himself" he said " okay" Nate replied and both left.Savage turned his head and looked at the forest his eyes cold,he knew who were there and promised to give them a good beating,they should never mess with what belonged to him.It seemed they had forgotten why he was nicknamed Savage,he needed to remind them who really is the boss.
