mystery (chapter 36)

After the man dissapeared Beatrix quickly walked heading to the underground room,though she was still in pain she didn't stop,after she had left there were few masked people who appeared one after the other on the sceen but not seeing or sensing anyone's presence they left dissapointed,the person they were looking for was untraceable,each had their own intentions and reasons why they were looking for that powerful being,some were vampires,others witches and even humans.Beatrix took a portion in her mouth and drank all of it,regaining her strength she walked downstairs,it was completely dark making it hard for her to see, raising her hand a fire ball appeared on her hand providing light for her,Savage was still in the same position unconscious,she chanted some words and Savage opened his eyes,the room was dim light but Savage had a good vision,he quickly stood up alert and looked for Nate, seeing he was not hurt,he turned to look at Beatrix his eyes turning red and cold,he held her by the kneck "what did you do?" he asked his voice cold and authoritative, Beatrix wasn't scared or suprised by his behaviour "I deed the necessary" she replied her expression tired,Savage looked at her suspiciously "I had to make you loose you consciousness or else your aura would still be noticeable" she explained,Savage let go of her neck "what happened?" "I had to mislead them, don't ask how I did it but I was able to" she said.

"What about Nate do you know anything?" Savage asked "well he is special,it seems he can't control his powers I'll need to talk to him once he wakes up,but for now you can't leave it's still not safe" she said and Savage nodded his head."You should spent the night here,once you're sure no one will be around you can both leave and make sure you tell him to dye his hair,his hair will attract alot of attention to him and .... I just hope his eyes are back to normal" she added "can you atleast tell me why and how he turned out to be a witch?" Savage asked the question that had been bothering him,a male witch was unheard of,no one had ever seen a male witch and it was never recorded in the books, now that Nate was a male witch he couldn't help but be curious "where are his parents? maybe they could uncover the mystery" she asked "he doesn't know about his parents,he was raised in an oprhanage" he replied "ooh! well,my mentor once told me long ago there used to be a male witch,she didn't know the detail but all she told me was that the witch had a tragic end,witches have a low birth rate,they mate with humans and if they give birth to a daughter they raise her and when she comes of age she transform into a witch,if the baby is a boy I heard they kill him but I don't know the reason why,maybe Nate's mother was a witch and when she realised she gave birth to a son she abandoned him instead of killing him" she told her speculation,Savage agreed with her speculation but they weren't sure,they could only come up with a theory,the one who knew the truth was Nate's mother "so how powerful is he?" he asked "more powerful than a witch or even a pure blooded vampire like you" she replied shocking Savage "don't be suprised.... remember he isn't an ordinary witch,the mighty seer had prophesied that the destroyer would destroy all of us and make us pay for our sins,she had said the destroyer would be a girl how it turned out to be him is a mystery,someone who could wield the forbidden magic.....no one is as powerful as him" "why can't you wield the forbidden magic?" he asked curious,he was never interested in witch matters but now he wanted to know everything "because all the witches were cursed but I don't know who cursed us and why,if a witch tries to tap into forbidden magic they would transform to black witches,some have tried and they instantly turned to black witches or die,Savage I want you to understand how important Nate is,they would try their best to get hold of him, with him they could use his power and also be able to use the forbiden magic and we can't let that happen" she said her face serious,there were greedy people out there waiting for a chance to capture him if they succeeded it would be disaster, especially she couldn't allow him to get hold of Nate.

"Savage you need to protect him, I'll guide him on how to use his powers,according to your explanation it seems he doesn't know how to control his powers which might be bothersome in the future,for now let's wait till he wakes up so we can discuss our way forward" she said,Savage who had been listening attentively nodded his head,he didn't understand why Nate had to be the destroyer and why they had to fall in love with each other, whenever he recalled what Nate had said before he lost consciousness he felt bothered and depressed,he wanted to ask Beatrix but he didn't want to give too much information,they heard someone groan and they turned to look at Nate,Nate slowly opened his eyes.
