He Yun Road.
The setting sun coloured every brickwork a warm orange.
Li Si walked in front. The screenwriter followed in fear, still holding the steel pipe in his arms.
The street was silent. Li Si kicked a stone, which rolled bone-deep into the alley.
He stopped and the screenwriter nearly hit his back.
Li Si stroked his chin thoughtfully, "Something doesn't seem right."
The screenwriter was already suspicious, and once he heard Li Si say this, he immediately got scared, "Then let's, let's go."
"Oh, okay." Li Si readily accepted good advice.
The screenwriter froze, "Really?"
He didn't know why Li Si was suddenly so kind.
He only heard Li Si continue, "I still have some things to do, so if you want to leave, go back first by yourself."
After saying that, he walked straight into an alley to the side.
The screenwriter with the camera stood in place. The sun was gradually fading into the mountain side, with only the last trace of light remaining.
The road from which he came was already shrouded in shadows.
Associated with all the rumours of He Yunlu, the screenwriter resolutely wimped out.
With a stomp of his foot, he ran. Just after turning a corner, he saw Li Si's figure.
"Brother Li! You wait ... Crap what are you doing?" Halfway through his words, the screenwriter suddenly shrieked.
Only to see Li Si squatting at the door of a bungalow, flicking a thin wire in his hand, sweating profusely from his busy work.
"Oh, you didn't leave." Li Si wiped the sweat on his forehead, a little embarrassed, "It's been too long since I opened the lock, my hand is not skilled, I'm sorry."
The screenwriter was wooden, he looked at the door and then at Li Si.
"Brother Li, you know this is breaking and entering, right?"
Li Si buried his head and didn't answer, and he didn't know if he heard it or not.
The screenwriter sighed and sat down by the side of the road, "And you want to use a thin wire to open the lock? Reality isn't a film, it can't be that simple."
Just as he finished speaking, there was a click and the lock opened.
The screenwriter lowered his head, buried his face in his hands, and inhaled deeply.
"Traditional locks use wire, electronic locks use dampers, it's all common sense."
Li Si patted the dirt on his trousers and smoothly stowed the small brass lock in his pocket with a batch of proficiency.
"Alright, alright, let's go once the lock is open, you don't really want to break into someone's house."
The screenwriter reached out to pull Li Si, he was really afraid that someone would suddenly come out and call the police to arrest the two of them all in.
As a result, Li Si slapped his hand away, very dissatisfied, "What are you talking about, it's hard to open the door, of course I have to go in and take a look."
"And the homeowner welcomes us, right?" Li Si calmly inclined his head, and the screenwriter followed his gaze and was jolted.
All he saw was a hooded man standing in the corner, staring straight at them.
The screenwriter had completely missed when the man had arrived.
"Welcome?" The screenwriter looked at the hooded man suspiciously.
"Put the lock back on and get out." The hooded man spat out a few words.
"Well, he said welcome!" Li Si beamed with joy.
The Hooded Man instantly blushed, "Holy shit ..."
Just before he could react, a sharpened steel pipe was already at his throat.
"...? Two prawns to entertain you guys, huh?" The hooded man changed his tune with difficulty.
Li Si sent the steel pipe forwards, and the hooded man could only fall backwards, "Get in there, crouch down on the floor so I can see your hands."
Several men walked into the bungalow, one after the other, the screenwriter being the last, and Li Si instructed him to close the door behind him.
It all happened in an instant, the screenwriter was too intimidated by Li Si to disobey orders at all.
When he closed the door behind him, he realised that he had become Li Si's accomplice.
It's over, my life is over!
Not mentioning the screenwriter who was caught up in self-hatred, the hooded man who was squatting on the ground calmly spoke, "Sir, I didn't do anything bad."
Li Si laughed at that.
It was a smell he was all too familiar with.
Gently poking the hooded man's shoulder with the steel pipe, always reminding him not to act rashly.
Li Si surveyed the furnishings of the house for a few eyes and suddenly said, "Are you ... raising small birds?"
The hooded man was stunned.
The screenwriter did not understand the sentence, or Li Si explained:
"Black language. It means adopting kids and raising them to steal or sell them. Anyway, miscellaneous do whatever."
"We never do illegal business!" The hooded man snapped.
"Oh, I see, selling information, right?" Li Si understood.
"Then I've come to the right place. Tell me, what happened on He Yun Road in the past two days? How come it's seven o'clock at night and not a single shop is open?"
The hooded man finally came back to his senses this time, "You guys turned out not to be cops."
A bit of ruthlessness came out of his eyes, "Then who are you guys from? Old Zhang? Or Old Gao from the fish market? So unruly, beware of chopping off your hands!"
"Want information? Heh, I won't ... even if I die."
Li Si put the bag of money into his hand.
"A group of traffickers came in last month, the cops have their eyes on them, and there's a possibility that they'll launch a raid in the next few days. The guys don't want any trouble, so you've come at a bad time."
The hooded man finished with a stream of words and swished the money into his pocket, "Boss, that's all I know."
The screenwriter held back the desire to spit.
"It's fine then, thanks for co-operating."
Li Si carried the steel pipe outside and suddenly noticed a poster on the wall.
On the poster was a group of handsome men and women, each making a horrified face. Further away, pitch-black figures wearing masks stood silently, and the eyes that penetrated the masks seemed to be suppressing extreme madness.
The Crystal Lake Murders.
Released on the 27th of June, please look forward to it.
Noticing that Li Si was mesmerised looking at the poster, the hooded man boldly struck up a conversation with him:
"Boss, you like horror films too? This director surnamed Sun, I like him a lot. As long as a film is made by him, I will definitely contribute a ticket ..."
Li Si interrupted his chatter, "Who's your favourite character in this?"
"The characters? On the poster?"
The hooded man froze, scratching his head vigorously.
After a while, he hesitantly pointed to one of them, "Female number two. Although the female number one is pretty, she's too flirtatious, not quite to my taste..."
Before he could finish his sentence, he saw Li Si raise the steel pipe.
Bang!
The hooded man's eyes were confused, shook his body, and flopped to the ground in one fell swoop.
Li Si cursed and thought for a moment, squatting down to fumble around in the hooded man's arms.
The money was back in Li Si's hand before it was even warm.
The screenwriter who witnessed all this had a calm face and didn't even want to ask why, not a ripple in his heart.
He was already accustomed to Li Si's behavioural pattern and wouldn't be surprised by whatever happened next.
"It sounds like it's dangerous here." The screenwriter looked to Li Si.
Li Si frowned and nodded slowly, "That's right, it seems so."
"So we..."
"Right, we have to..."
Both men spoke up at the same time:
"Come back in a few days!"
"Go and watch the fun immediately!"
The excitement in Li Si's eyes was clear to the screenwriter.
He looked up at the sky and suddenly had the urge to cry.
