CHAPTER 73 Learn the World – Part 2

　　The skin on the back of my neck prickled.

　　Rig put a hand to my back, but I leaned around him to look at Natalie who’d just walked into the room looking gorgeous as usual, unwinding a scarf from around her neck, her cheeks pinked by the cold outside.

　　The guys greeted her casually, which made me feel even tenser, but I swallowed it back. She’d been out in the forest with them—apparently completely unfazed by them being naked. She’d known them since they were kids. She was… one of them.

　　Much more one of them than me.

　　As if he’d heard my thoughts, Rig took my chin and turned my head to look at him. He stared at me, wordless, but I saw the conviction in his eyes—colored with pleading.

　　“So, you met the wolves tonight, huh? That must have been freaky,” Natalie said with a wry smile.

　　“You could say that.” My voice was flat, toneless. I still didn’t know how to think about this woman. Our recent interactions were mixed for me, to say the least.
