Chapter Two

Within seconds we were racing towards nothing in the black realm. I noticed that we only had about a minute before we lose our cover and our chance to escape. The time limit is displayed clearly on the screens all around the car. And a computer voice started counting down as we left ten seconds. Malcolm was still going straight, passing by some orange cells representing important builds. I wasn't the pilot but my heart was beating very fast.

'Five, four, three…' the computer said. And two seconds later, the black realm disappeared. We were back in between towers in Ava. All the real life surroundings came into place. Which means the road we're on were all of a sudden filled with many spacecars flying to somewhere. There were horns for a brief moment since we were going in the opposite way. Malcolm turned the wheel violently without warning and the car flew higher and tilted a little. If we had not buckled our seatbelts, we sure would have fallen off from our seats. Malcolm pressed on the paddles again to continue towards the dome. Oh no, he's going to crash through the dome. Is it possible? I mean, the dome is really strong. Another problem, everyone would panic. Everyone who doesn't know that they could breathe the air outside. Suddenly there were sirens. Very loud, piercing throughout the district we're in. I look to my other side which is the back of the car. It has wide glass to see through. And police cars were chasing us. How come it's so fast they could already track us down? Then I realised, we're in Ava's air space. Of course even an unknown vehicle could have been tracked down easily if it goes visible. I looked back to the front of the car. Malcolm and his co-pilots were pressing buttons here and there. Which I don't know what was for until I felt the car rumbled a little and a missile came out of its back and exploded one of the police cars. Way too cool. But bad luck for the police though. I looked at all my friends' faces. And they were all afraid and excited as well. The police also started firing at us. Fortunately, Malcolm kept on turning the wheel, twisting the car in circles and avoiding the bullets. I felt pity for the people in the builds and some other cars. The bullets that we avoided, most of it crashed into the towers and other innocent person's car. I really hope they're okay. We were a few distance left from the dome and Malcolm stepped on it. Ignoring the chances to fire back at the police. For a brief moment I thought we're gonna crashed into the glass but we made it through. We crashed through and not into. To be honest I wasn't surprise. We left a big hole in the dome. Malcolm didn't stop, he just continued driving away from Ava. The police did not follow us out. I may guess why but doesn't mean my opinion is correct. But my guess is that they were too afraid. Most of them thought the outside air is unbreathable. And that once they stepped outside their car, they're gonna suffocate and die. The journey afterwards was peaceful. And we relaxed and talked to each other. And I became acquainted with the three members I did not know earlier. The man sitting with Michael, Tazanna and Miss Janet in the passenger seat is Ben. The man co-pilot is Lucky and the lady co-pilot is Kate.

'Aren't we supposed to get the sphere first?' Fayre asked.

'Yes we are' Malcolm said. He had put the car under auto-pilot. However, Lucky stayed to watch. We were all sitting in one big circle on the floor in between the seats.

'But we're already leaving Ava?' Fayre said.

'The sphere is not literally in Ava. It's in one of Ava's science labs near Valtora. Which is near to our final destination' Malcolm said.

'That won't really be our final destination' Tazanna said. 'Grandfather also asked to continue on with the next mission to Hayden'

'We can talk about that later' Malcolm said. 'For now, for this mission, Zonex is our final destination'
