Chapter 14 King Chu and Wang Mengzhen

Hua Xinzi and Jiang Hongyun opened a tavern and gave it a vulgar name, Wuming Tavern.

The tavern is located on Banyue Street, where cars and horses gather, and ordinary people working hard come and go, so the price of drinks is not high.

The two women hired several helpers and didn't care whether the business was good or bad.

Every day I either travel around or stay behind the tavern, chatting, laughing, and being carefree, as if I want to live through the boring days of the past few years all over again.

On the opening day of the Nameless Tavern, the two women didn't make any big fuss, they just opened the door quietly and did business.

Many people passing by occasionally looked up a few days later and discovered that there was an extra tavern here at some point?

In addition, except for Zhao Mu, the two women have not invited anyone they once knew, and they do not plan to have any contact in the future.

That day, the three of them got drunk and indulgent in the back of the pub.

It was not until the evening of the next day that Zhao Mu returned to the Jiaofang Division. As for what happened during that time, it is not enough to explain to outsiders.

After practicing all night this day, Zhao Mu felt refreshed.

So I left the warehouse at dawn and wandered around the teaching department, saying hello to my colleagues when I met them.

Over the years, not only the oirans but also the officials in the Jiaofang Department have had many new faces.

After all, apart from Liang Xingnan, Zhao Mu is actually the most senior official in the Jiaofang Division now.

Other old people either found ways to be transferred to other yamen, or they made mistakes and were demoted or arrested.

At noon, hundreds of women were suddenly sent to the Jiaofang Division.

These are obviously Wang Daoquan's family members.

It is said that the Xuanjing Division was originally prepared to dig out evidence of Zuo Xiang's guilt from Wang Daoquan's mouth.

Unexpectedly, just three days ago, Wang Daoquan died suddenly and mysteriously in prison.

The Xuanjing Division had no choice but to hastily close Wang Daoquan's case based on the existing evidence.

The men of the Wang family were beheaded, and the women were all sent to the Jiaofang Division.

The person responsible for taking over Wang Dao's family was none other than the one who took over Liang Xiaozhong's family - Zhang Hao.

Everything went according to plan. According to the rules of the Jiaofang Division, Zhang Hao selected beautiful and potential women and sent them to teach piano, chess, calligraphy and painting.

As for those who look ordinary, they either go directly to the flesh business, or they work as the most humble coolies.

But Zhao Mu discovered something strange. Zhang Hao actually arranged Wang Daoquan's daughter, Wang Mengzhen, to be alone in a small courtyard, and no one was allowed to approach.

     Some people speculated that Zhang Hao was interested in Wang Mengzhen and wanted to enjoy it for himself first;

But some people said that a certain big shot had spoken and wanted to keep Wang Mengzhen, and Zhang Hao was using his power for personal gain to please that big shot.

But who is that big shot?

     Nobody knows.

     …

     night.

Zhao Mu dispersed the Sravaka Gu and monitored the activities in the Jiaofang Department.

After years of cultivation, the Shravaka Gu has made great progress and can now cover an area of nearly two miles.

It can be said that as long as Zhao Mu is willing, he can clearly hear the movements of most of the Jiaofang Division.

But today he is not interested in others. He only wants to know how Zhang Hao will deal with Wang Mengzhen?

     The night is getting darker.

Probably just after midnight, Zhang Hao suddenly led three strong men into the Jiaofang Division quietly and walked into Wang Mengzhen's courtyard.

The three men seemed to be from the military, and their every move exuded a military temperament.

     "I've met Miss Wang."

As soon as the three of them saw Wang Mengzhen, they immediately saluted respectfully.

Wang Mengzhen was overjoyed: "Brother Changkong finally asked you to rescue me?"

"Yes, please, Miss Wang, come with us. The Lord is still waiting for Miss Wang."

After a man finished speaking, he looked at Zhang Hao next to him: "The next thing will be left to you. Remember, you must not let anyone know that Miss Wang left the Jiaofang Division. Do you understand?"

     "Don't worry, I've arranged everything."

Zhang Hao licked his lips and said with a smile: "But sirs, you must keep your promises to me."

"Of course, as long as things go well today, you will soon be able to replace Liang Xingnan and become the judge of the Jiaofang Division."

     The man spoke calmly.

"Okay, everyone, please go and be careful on the road!"

Zhang Hao stretched out his hand to signal, and the three men took Wang Mengzhen and left.

They were very careful, walking in darkness along the way, and did not meet anyone from the Jiaofang Department.

After the other party left, Zhang Hao dragged out a female body from under the bed.

The clothes worn by the female corpse were exactly the same as Wang Mengzhen's, and her body shape was also very similar. It would be impossible to tell them apart if her face was covered.

Zhang Hao took out the prepared oil and sprinkled it all over the room, especially on the female corpse.

Finally he lit the house on fire and left quickly.

"The water is leaking, the water is leaking, please come and put out the fire!"

The burning courtyard quickly attracted attention, and a large number of people came from all over the Jiaofangsi to put out the fire desperately.

Zhang Hao was also among them, pretending to be anxious and helping.

But his eyes were very excited, as if he was imagining the good life of becoming a judge.

When Zhao Mu heard this, he lost interest, took back the Sravaka Gu and continued to practice.

But the next day, he heard unexpected news.

Zhang Hao committed suicide by hanging himself from a beam last night in the house.

Before he died, he left a suicide note saying that he didn't want to live anymore because he owed huge gambling debts.

     No one doubted this.

Because everyone in the Jiaofang Department knows that Zhang Hao is indeed a gambler, and has been approached by casinos several times to collect debts.

But Zhao Mu knew very well that Zhang Hao would never commit suicide.

After all, this guy just accomplished something big yesterday and is about to replace Liang Xingnan as the capital judge.

In this case, Zhang Hao should have been killed and silenced.

Those who took action were probably those who took Wang Mengzhen away.

But the specific origins of those people are unknown.

Zhao Mu was not interested in pursuing it, after all, it had nothing to do with him.

It was not until much later that he accidentally learned that King Chu and Wang Mengzhen grew up together and were childhood sweethearts.

Not long after Zhang Hao died, the King of Chu married a woman named Zheng Meng in a low-key manner and made her his princess.

At that time, no one would connect Zheng Meng with Wang Mengzhen.

Even Zhao Mu himself only had some guesses.

But he was very curious. If Zheng Meng was really Wang Mengzhen, then why would King Chu take risks to save the daughter of a guilty minister.

Is it really just for feelings?

Well, Zhao Mu admitted that he was indeed biased against the royal family.

The so-called Tian family is ruthless.

He really couldn't believe that pure, so-called life-or-death sour love really existed in the royal family!

     This thing is totally weird!
