CHAPTER 31: MISSING MAYA.

DAMIEN.

"Start from the beginning," I order.

Lucas dismisses the wolves around him and turns to me.

"You know how we were worried about Maya's lack of communication? So I had George try and pinpoint the location of the satellite phone. Not too long ago, he got back to me that he had found it."

"Where?"

"In some weird forest. He just sent the location and I was organizing the wolves that would come with. I was waiting for you to arrive so I could let you know."

"And there was no sign of Maya?" I ask.

"No. None. Just a lot of blood."

"Well what are we waiting for, let's go."

"I am coming with you."

I turn to look at Natalie, who has a stubborn glint in her eyes, her lips set in a determined line.

"You can't," I say. "The witch could be anywhere, we can't risk you getting close to her. I can't risk that."
