MAYA.
"Maya! Maya! Damn it Maya, wake up!"
I slowly open my eyes to see for the second time, Tanya above me trying to shake me awake.
"Stop it," I grunt. "I am awake."
"Oh, thank the goddess!"
I slowly pull myself up to a sitting position while taking a glance around.
We are in the bedroom where we had woken up for the first time.
"Damn it," I mutter.
"Yeah," Tanya remarks. "That is pretty much the same sentiment I had when I woke up."
"What happened?" I ask as I reach up to massage my head.
Goddess it hurts.
"Beats me. The last thing I remember is you reaching for the door. Do you know what happened next?" she wonders.
"We were thrown back," I say, voice suddenly clear and strong.
The memory replays itself in my mind, causing me even more confusion.
"I had just touched the door knob when I was hit and flung backwards," I recount.
"Did you see who it was? It was that damn Alaric, right?"
