The Amulet and The Seed

Prince Edward and Master Kitty fought their way through the undead army towards Erieka. There were so many of them, newly fallen soldiers stood back up slowly while the senior ones jumped up like savages. There were so many deaths. Mainly the weak ones became the victim. Edward was determined to finish this. The thought of giving up came to his mind but he quickly pushed it away. The next three undead came. Edward defeated them and there were a few more left to Erieka. Erieka's whole self was still glowing red. Since she was surrounded by her undead army, she has nothing much to do. No one could pass the ranks and get to her. So the only thing she was doing was summoning newly fallen soldiers and avengers to join the undead. Her powers reached to the edges of the battlefields. Now the undead was more than the bad guys who were still alive. In total, they're starting to outnumber the good guys all over again. Edward and Kitty found extreme difficulty to get past the remaining ranks. It was like the closer they get to Erieka, the stronger the undead are. Since they're all closer to the source of the magic. Edward tried his powers. While fighting the undead with his sword, he focused his energy on Erieka. There must be some way for him to connect with her. She's his sister. They have the same blood. But it was tough. Kitty on the other hand was busy himself releasing powers on the undead around him. Before they could get tired, Master Mousy joined the fight. She came and froze a lot of the undead in their tracks before sending them sinking into the ground. Princess Flyra came looking bright and powerful again. She released a great power like that was normal for her. But it was actually even way beyond Marcala's league. She just held up her left palm. An abnormal forcefield, lighter than how any forcefield was supposed to react, came out of her palm. It passed through every undead for about three ranks. They all instantly dropped and did not make any more movements. Flyra had cleared the way. There was only one rank left before Erieka. Erieka's glow disappeared. She glared at them and tried to reverse Flyra's magic but did not work. Erieka sent all the undead around her charging at them. Flyra did the same thing again before Edward, Mousy, and Kitty could do anything. The undead dropped again and Flyra changed her magic into a force-grip. She pulled the amulet away from Erieka's neck. Erieka's headscarf tilted up a little as the amulet made its way out. It was no longer glowing. And immediately afterwards, every single undead fell down and remained dead as they should. Erieka smiled like she knew that was going to happen. A second later, the amulet glowed again. And everyone around could see dim lights coming out of Flyra's body at very high speed and into the amulet. Flyra winced tragically. The amulet was absorbing Flyra's power and energy. Edward attempted to help her. But Kitty bit him to it. He sent a forcefield to push the amulet away but the forcefield turned against him. And after a few more seconds, the amulet had sucked everything it wanted out of Flyra. Flyra no longer has pale skin. That's the only difference they could see on her that was openly shown. Flyra fell down unconscious. Erieka summoned back the amulet to herself and laughed evilly.

'Not so fast' Edward said in a low, anger-controlling tone. He shot out his hand and force-grabbed the amulet as well. The amulet stopped in its path as both Erieka's and Edward's force tried to win over the other. Mousy helped and force-pulled the amulet towards them. However, Erieka was very determined to win. She sent fire at them with her other hand. With them distracted, she grabbed hold completely of the amulet and fixed it back around her neck underneath the scarf. She grinned, ready to start back where she last stopped. But her powers did not work. The amulet started glowing but it wasn't red in colour anymore. It was white. Erieka was getting worried. She attempted to send an attack at them again but instead, her body became stiff. Like she was being controlled. The amulet fell down from her by itself. As it touched the ground, the ground started humming. Erieka seemed to be drifting away. Like she was turning to dust. With a final scream, she exploded into a cloud of dust. The amulet stopped glowing and got back to its original colour red.

'The successor's dead! Retreat!' someone shouted. The reaction was slow at first. Then all the evil guys fell back. Some were still reluctant to leave, and some left immediately because of fear. Pertum and Lydia were not far away from Prince Nathan. He stopped them with his magic. He was planning to bring them back as prisoners. These two are very capable to rebuild the avengers if they were allowed to roam free. Within five minutes, all the evil guys had fled. Only Pertum, Lydia, and some other avengers and soldiers who were held captive were left.

Prince Edward rushed to kneel by Flyra's side. Masters Mousy and Kitty stood there as well. Soon, Captain, Bale, Oliver, Lillain, and many others gathered around. They lost a lot of people today. And they lost Flyra. Queen Lady Lith made her way to the front of the crowd, she handed the amulet over to Edward.

'I'm sorry' she said. 'I thought she couldn't die'

Edward took the amulet, appreciating the respect.

'No Flyangel!' Captain cried. The three animals cried. They huddled around Edward. Seeing them in tears made Edward cry as well. He had never felt attached to anyone like this before aside from his family. Flyra was special to him. Even Mousy was close to tears. She hadn't had the chance to get acquainted with Flyra properly which she very much wanted to do since she started liking her. Everyone stood still, respecting the moment for a while. All across the battlefields, different soldiers, masters, people, stood in respect to their friends or family.

'We have to do a farewell here, bury those who had passed' Edward said after a while. He got a grip over his emotions. He was the heir to the throne. The future king has to show that he's strong and is capable of carrying out his responsibilities even when it's hard.

Just then, white sparks blinked continuously all around Flyra. White dust flowed out of her rapidly and vanished into thin air as the sparks disappeared as well. Flyra opened her eyes.
