The Love of Andrew

 I'm thrown on the wall with my mother and sister screaming for my father to stop. 


 "How," he picks me up and holds me by my shirt collar," how could you let your sister walk home by herself?" 


 "She wanted to walk her girlfriend home..." 


 He let's me go and goes after my sister. Mother gets in the way but I was there first and punched my father in the face. Blood comes from his mouth. He looks at me with a death stare and the next thing I know is him on top of me. 


 I try not to breath. His breath had a bit of alcohol. 


 "I said 'you going to hit my again'?" 


 He slaps me and holds my face with one hand. Then he leans in closer and I try to free myself but he makes it worse. My mother holds Vic and yells at my father to get off. 


 His hands hold my arms and his legs hold mine and I could feel tears form and fall out of my eyes 


 Then my sister kicks him in his ribs and he gets off of me. He gets up and holds her by her neck. I get off the floor and bit his arm. 


 I don't know what happened next but my sister was pulling me away and my mother was by father. 


 "I'm making sure he's alive so your brother doesn't go to jail!" 


 She turns back to him, takes her phone out and calls nine-one-one. 


 A few minutes later police cars and an ambulance show up. The medical people take my father away and a police man asks us questions. 


 "So tell me what happened Mrs.Green?" 


 Then mother explains everything along with my sister and I stay quiet. 


 "Yes...my son was just trying to keep me and Vicky safe." 


 "Yes...I don't want that man back here ever again." 


 The police man nods his head and leaves. Once they're gone my mother turns to us. 


 "Go to bed. I'll lock the door and if he comes back I'll call the police again, okay?" 


 We walk to out rooms and when we were close to Vic's room she turns around and gives me a hug. 


 "And I thank you for the same thing." 


 She laughs, we let go of each other, and she goes to her room. I smile and go to mine.
