Chapter 18 - Victoria

I was on the couch waiting for Adom to get home. I was chewing on my nails and kept looking out the window to see if my brother was home.

ROAR!!!

I jump at the sound of his car pulling up. The door opens and I run to Adom.

"Oh Adom, how was the date? Did he like the neck-"

"Victoria, just leave me alone right now...okay?"

I finally look at his face to see that it had no emotion and his eye was brown like his normal one.

"Oh, o-okay."

"Thanks."

Adom walks by me with no look, no hug, no nothing. I look at him as he closes his bedroom door. Then I remember the first time Adom acted like this way to me. It was the day I was 12 and Adom was 14, that was also the day Winston broke Adom's heart.

It was raining and I was looking out the window, waiting for Adom to come home. I didn't see him but I heard a knock on the door. My mother came to open the door and I ran up to Adom and gave him a hug.

"Bid brother, how was the date? D-"

He pushes me off of him, runs to his room will our mother yells at him and he slams his door.

Later that night I went to his room to see he was sitting up and looking out the window.

"A-Adom?"

He looks at me before he looks back out the window.

"Hey."

"You d-don't have to answer me but," I climbed on his bed and sit in front of him ,"what happened on your date with Winston?"

Adom doesn't look at me and he starts to cry.

"He broke up with me, and I'm sorry for pushing you."

"It's okay," I crawl to Adom and hug him ,"you don't have to say anymore."

I don't know what happened between Adom and Andrew, but I'm hoping it wasn't because of another broken heart.
