Chapter 31

NYLA opened her eyes to the sound of birds chirping. The ceiling of the room she was in looked familiar, as did the large window beside the bed. She looked around the room and saw a familiar dresser, her dresser. Several dark blue ribbons were fastened around a small metallic tree, a birthday gift given to her from Kai when they were young. The chair in front of the dresser was small and made of a light-coloured wood that was polished, and the back side of the chair looked like an open water lily. A blue cushion rested on the seat. A wardrobe stood closed in the corner and a small table with two chairs rested at the opposite end of the room. Nyla was back in her room inside Lily Palace. She was home.

Nyla sat up and thought back to the events of the last few days and remembered the battle in the Forbidden Region. She placed her hand over her abdomen, and sighed, her plan had worked.
