The question hung in the air, its weight pressing down on Lorad. He was gripping the arms of his chair, his smile faltering as he stared into his father's cold gray eyes.

"Yes," Lorad replied, his voice barely a whisper.

"Do you understand the importance of this day?" continued Baltimos, his tone unyielding.

Lorad nodded, his throat tight with anticipation. "Yes, Father. Today is Ascension Day, where I will go to the Judgment Castle to receive the gift that lord has given me."

Baltimos leaned back in his chair, his expression unreadable. "This is a great honor, Lorad. A gift is not given lightly. It signifies your destiny and your role in our community."

Today was Ascension Day, where the gift will be given to everyone who has reached the age of 18, as it will be awakened at the core of the soul.

Lorad had turned eighteen two months ago, but he had to wait for the appointed day to open the doors of Resurrection Castle.

The matter has nothing to do with the social location, as the doors will be opened to everyone who has reached the appropriate age from the four departments of the city.

Therefore, the nineteenth day of the seventh month can be considered a national holy day. Even Lorad could hear people's celebratory shouts from inside the palace at this moment.

If we were to specify the current time frame, it would be the 19th of the seventh month in the year 536 of the fourth intersection.

But none of that matters now. Even Lord wasn't so stupid as to not know that his father hadn't invited him to know about his preparations for the day, just that he wasn't that kind of father after all.

Lorad's heart raced as he waited for his father to speak. He knew that Baltimos was a stern and distant man, but he always hoped that his father would show some warmth and pride on this important day. But now, as he sat in the cold silence of the room, Lorad couldn't help but feel a sense of dread.

Finally Baltimos broke the silence, his voice expressing tension. "Lord, when you stand before the council and they reveal your talent, you will tell them and everyone else that it is Class C. Do you understand?"

Lorad's heart sank when he heard his father's words. The Class C gift was mid-level, a mere trinket compared to the powerful Class A gifts that everyone wanted to receive. He always hoped his gift would be something special, something that would make him stand out. But now, he felt like he had been dealt a harsh hand.

'Class C ?Are you kidding me, do you want to ruin my future ?' Lorad thought inwardly, but he wasn't crazy enough to say this directly.

As if Baltimos sensed this, it seemed as if the atmosphere in the room had changed and it had become difficult to even breathe.

"Yes, father," Lorad replied, his voice barely above a whisper.

Baltimos leaned forward, his gaze penetrating Lorad's soul. "You will not bring shame to our family, Lorad. You will make me proud."

Lorad felt a wave of anger rising within him. How could his father expect him to be proud? How could he stand before the council and lie about his abilities?

He wanted to ask him why

But Lorad knew he had no other choice. His father's word was law, and he couldn't risk his father's wrath by disobeying him.

"I will not disappoint you, Father," Lorad said, his voice firm and resolute.

Baltimos nodded curtly, satisfied with his son's response. "Good," he said. "Now go and prepare yourself for the party."

Lorad got up from his chair and turned to leave. When he left the office, he felt a heavy weight on his shoulders. He knew the day was going to be long and difficult, but he was determined to face it with the same unwavering determination that always defined him.

.....

A luxurious horse-drawn carriage with Lorad inside can be seen traveling to Resurrection Castle to awaken the gift given to them by the Master. The morning air was fresh, and a touch of frost remained on the edges of the green leaves that covered the path leading to the old building.

Dozens of people could also be seen heading towards the castle on the same road, with excited smiles on their young faces.

"Stop," Lorad ordered the driver to stop, but he did not know his name, or rather, he had forgotten it, because he did not leave the house often to use the carriage, but it did not matter anyway.

Lorad got out of the luxury carriage and headed to the door of the wall surrounding the castle as a handful of people arrived at the same time. The voices of hundreds of people could already be heard echoing from behind the wall. Moments later, the doors opened and he was trembling from the large number of people, but he sighed and entered with a somewhat desperate look.
