ascension

The sun rose high in the sky and moved slightly to position itself in the middle. It was already midday and the crowd was still in its usual position.

Lorad was not listening to the saint's words due to the interference of his conflicting thoughts , until she reached the important part of everything that is happening today, which is the ascension. His mind was more than clear at this moment and he was more focused than ever before.

"All of you here have reached the appropriate age to receive the gift from lord and to contribute to the development of our paradise."As the saint's voice crescendoed, speaking of ascension, a hush fell over the crowd. The air seemed to thicken with anticipation, and even the sun's relentless rays paused as if to listen.

The saint continued, her voice ringing out with an authority that seemed to echo from the very heavens themselves. " First, the gifts are divided into five classes, A,B,C,D and E ."

The saint's voice carried clearly as she began to describe the classes, each word weighted with the gravity of tradition and the hope of the future.

"Class A," she began, "is the rarest of all. It is bestowed upon those who have shown extraordinary virtue and capability. These individuals have the potential to become leaders and visionaries, guiding us towards a brighter future. Their gifts are profound, often including powerful abilities that can shape the very fabric of our reality."She paused, letting the words sink in, before continuing.

"Class B gifts are also highly esteemed. Those who receive them have demonstrated great promise and strength of character. Their abilities are significant, allowing them to protect and enhance our community in various ways."The crowd listened intently as she moved on to the next class.

"Class C is the most common. They are the backbone of our society, skilled in various trades and crafts. Their gifts provide them with enhanced skills that ensure the stability and prosperity of our paradise."

"Class D," the saint's voice softened slightly, "includes those whose gifts may not be as pronounced but are still valuable. They support the community with their dedication and hard work, often taking on roles that require patience and persistence.

"Finally" , she spoke of Class E. "This class is for those whose gifts are more subtle, often overlooked, but no less important. They are the caretakers, the empathetic souls who enrich our lives with their compassion and understanding."As the saint concluded the description of the classes, the crowd's murmur rose again, a mix of hope, aspiration, and nervousness. Each individual silently wondered which class they would belong to, which gift they would receive, and how it would shape their destiny in the paradise they all strived to develop.

The anticipation in the air was palpable as the saint concluded her explanation of the ascension gifts. Lorad's heart pounded in his chest, a mix of excitement and apprehension swirling within him. He longed to know which class he would be assigned to, what extraordinary abilities he might possess.

The saint's words had painted vivid pictures in his mind, images of himself wielding incredible powers, shaping the world around him with newfound strength and wisdom. The possibilities seemed endless, and Lorad couldn't contain the thrill of anticipation that surged through his being.

The saint turned her head as if she were talking to the man standing next to her.

"Your abilities are inactive and require another counter force to activate them. The colonel Alvar and I will use our abilities. Therefore, you will be divided into two groups. I will take care of the groupe of the first and the colonel of the second, as each person will advance separately." She spoke again .

"Wait , what ?" Lorad was surprised, this was not the system that was adopted in past years .

The council system was relied upon, but it seems that the huge number of people this year has caused a disruption in the system.

But it seems that this problem will not be solved anytime soon. It seems that humanity's obsession with not extinction has increased. All they have been thinking about during the last two decades is reproduction, if of course we turn a blind eye to the tremendous scientific development they have begun to achieve.

Lorad looked around and saw the huge crowd in front of him and his position in the middle. He sighed and went to sit under the shade of a large tree until his turn came.

.....

The place was filled with expressions of joy and happiness around him. These were some of those who had received the gift of the class A or B. He was immersed in the scene before him and focused his gaze on two chairs in front of the large door of the majestic castle.

lorad never expected in his life to witness a scene like this. The two of them from the judgement Castle have been sitting since midday under the rays of the sun. Where has their pride gone? lorad bet that inside of them they are cursing every person here. It was a scene worth waiting for.

Anyway, Saint and Colonel Alvar were sitting on chairs, and in front of them were two rather attractive young women, but looking at their clothes, they seemed to be middle class. He was waiting for which of them would finish first to go to his turn. Despite splitting into two groups, it looks like there are only 11 people left, so no one will mind if they take the turn.

" The next " The ethereal voice of the saint echoed in the place. Lorad supported his body with his arm and got up and looked around. No one was coming forward, so it seemed that no one minded let him taking the turn.

' please something good , please something good, please something good. '

Lorad internally prayed with all the words he knew until he stopped in front of the saint. Her close-up view made him swallow his saliva with difficulty. He forgot for a moment why he was there in the first place.

"You've really grown up, Mr. Sostini." That she could remember him clearly made him more comfortable, but he didn't like that she recognized him despite the bandage over her eyes.

The saint sighed and without further words she placed her hand on Lorad's chest and she said " It may be a little painful."

This made his cheeks flush.

" ugh ....." Lorad was mentally prepared, but the pain penetrating his chest this time was very strong. If he had not always been subjected to those headaches, he would have already collapsed here.

He wondered, for lord's sake, how no one had fallen since the morning.

Ding Dong

The voice echoed in the Lorad's ears as he looked at the strange shape that appeared before him before cursing inwardly. " The curse ".
