description of the gift : [ You were born into the darkness so you are a part of it as it is a part of you . ]

Lorad lay on the bed, looking at the black screen appearing in front of him. Three days had passed since the day he ascended. He had spent them all lazing around . but he's already used to the transparent screen. It was difficult at first, but he managed to figure out how to hide it and show it. He did it by mental command. It was really annoying. His gaze was focused on one thing only. So he asked the chief servant , Alaria, and she was the one who showed him the way .

But it seemed that all his worry was in vain. Although he looked like a corpse, he had been in good health for the past three days. He was able to do everything he was doing in his normal state. This comforted him a little.

He couldn't help but wonder about the gift he had received. The description of being born into darkness intrigued him. What did it mean? How was he a part of the darkness?

Or what is darkness itself? There were different concepts of darkness.

It is often associated with the absence of light, but it is much more than that. Darkness is a state of being that can be both physical and metaphorical. It represents the unknown, the mysterious, and the hidden. It is the realm of the unconscious, where our deepest fears and desires reside. Darkness can be both comforting and terrifying, depending on our perspective. It is a reminder of our mortality and the impermanence of all things. Darkness is also a symbol of transformation and rebirth, as it is often associated with the cycle of life and death. Ultimately, darkness is a complex and multifaceted concept .

Lorad pondered on these thoughts, trying to make sense of his gift. He wondered if his connection to darkness meant that he had some sort of power over it. Could he manipulate shadows or control the absence of light , He decided to experiment.

He stood up, stretched out his hand, and closed his eyes, trying to feel something, but it was meaningless.

Like the past three days, there was no clear manifestation of his ability, or at least a tangible form through which he could notice any benefit to it.

As Lorad stood in the dimly lit room, his frustration grew. The expectation of a tangible, immediate power was met with nothing but the silence of his own breath and the steady beat of his heart.

He felt a little embarrassed because of his strange stance, so he lay down on the bed again.

Exhausted from the failed attempt, Lorad closed his eyes, feeling the weight of disappointment settle over him. He was hoping for answers, for some sort of direction in understanding his gift. But it seemed that for now, the darkness and its mysteries would remain elusive.

He directed his thoughts to other, no less important matters .

Like his role in society, Detective, he honestly never expected our day to be anything like this. Lorad actually had a plan for his future but everything was ruined the moment he lied to the council.

The plan was very simple. He will exploit a loophole in national law that he himself discovered. He felt proud of that. The national law was the provisions that applied to the entire Heaven City. By the way, the important thing was that he would exploit the idea that he could give up his role in society if he was sick with a disease that curative gifts could not cure.

Since he is suffering from schizophrenia, or this is what he heard from one of the scholars echoes of his father at least , and he had already gone to many therapists and was not cured, he would have given up his role after a year or two, and since he was the son of the earl, he would easily be able to find a beautiful wife from the nobles to complete His life with her , It was a simple plan wasn't it .

But everything was ruined the moment he lied to the council about his gift. Under national law, when he gave up his role, he would meet the descendants of the Lord. It was very logical to think that he would have a way to discover his true talent, so he would be accused of treason and executed. He was not the first to be executed at that time. Many had already been executed before him, and they wouldn't hesitate for a mere 18-year-old teenager .

His plan to enjoy a life of luxury without getting tired has been ruined ,But now he has a bigger problem.

' enhanced perception, what is this ? 'Lorad laughed at the lie he told the council. It was an ability from one of the short stories he had read recently .

There was a provision in the national law whereby a week was given before everyone began their role . Three days had already passed and most of the people had already begun to perform their roles , but Lorad was planning to go on the last day to the temple in the western section Where his new residence will be . This had two benefits from his point of view. The first would be : Considering him reckless and not being taken seriously , second : this would reduce the monitoring of him, which would reduce the risk of his ability being exposed.

Lorad fidgeted and raised his head slightly to look at the clock On the right wall of the room near the window " Oh! Oh my Lord , it's already late and I should go to sleep ".

He acted like a little child at that moment. He took off his golden-rimmed glasses from his face and placed them on the table next to the bed and He put his head on the pillow to sleep.

' Now how can I fool temple , no , entire western section ? ' Lorad thought internally .

And so the days passed normally until the day he went to the temple arrived.
