Odd Request

While running, Luke noticed the largest structure in the Village, the Village Hall, which was used for village events, announcements, and marriages. Even though the building was on fire, it was still standing when Luke barged in, breaking down the gate. He stumbled across a piece of wood that fell on the floor, and due to momentum, he went rolling and crashed into a pillar in the center of the building, causing the nearly burnt building to shake slightly and some wood to fall from the ceiling."

Luke instantly stood up and hid behind the podium on the stage, which was near the back end of the building. The orc charged, smashing the entire front section of the gate, causing the entire structure to tremble violently, indicating it was about to collapse. In its rage, the Orc began to hunt everywhere for Luke, but the smell of burning wood and ashes flying around had dulled his senses, making it impossible for the Orc to find him.

Luke realized that his time had finally come as he slowly but surely lifted the moveable podium with his 20 STR. It was still a little challenging, but doable in some way. "Here comes your doom piggyyy!" shouted Luke, while hurling away the podium directly into the central pillar. With his skillfully thrown podium, he fled from the rear gate.

[Orc's POV]

After charging into the building, I was looking for the human who caused me so much pain. I tried to smell his scent but still, I couldn't find him suddenly I heard a shout behind my back and saw the human throwing a piece of wood at another piece of wood. I sneered in my mind "Even I can throw a bigger piece of wood longer than you human" but the human didn't look back and ran away I tried to chase but suddenly something fell on my head…

[Third Person's POV]

Luke dashed out, a big sound of tumbling coming from his back. When he turned around, the structure had collapsed. He now had a large grin on his face, content with his triumph.

As Luke suddenly remembered drops from the Orc, his countenance changed from a great smile to that of a guy who had lost everything in a wager. His legs buckled as he yelled, "My loottt..."

He muttered while looking down "That could have helped me easily to Level up to 20"

What more can he do, considering that his loot is now buried under a thick heap of rubble that he is unable to access or remove to look for the drops?

After hearing his voice, the people who had been concealed in the surrounding homes descended; there were only about ten of them in the entire village, which had more than 200 residents. Even though the monsters who had assaulted their village had died, their faces remained expressionless.

Luke got up since he had to get into the main game even though he was disappointed not to have received any riches. Luke looked around, seeing that everyone was staring at him expressionlessly. Suddenly, an elderly man who appeared to be the village leader stepped forward and faked a grin as he remarked, "Oh! Great Hero, we are grateful that you saved the village, but as you can see, it has been demolished. Since you have already done so much for us, we cannot ask you to help us rebuild the village; instead, you should head for the capital, where your bravery will be greatly appreciated by the kingdom".

Luke already knew the chief's phrases, so he disregarded half of the speech while staring at his status, which showed.

Note: Even though the completion rate is not 100% the reward will be granted in full since it is a tutorial.

Luke knew nothing about the 100% completion rate because it had not been uploaded to the forums or any information about it. As a result, many players asked the Company for any kind of clue or hint to complete the tutorial but they did not reveal anything at first, as the requests continued to pile up, only a single line came from the Company stating "Why have this 10 people stayed in the village when everybody either ran away or got killed?"

Because of this mystery, a lot of gamers killed all the villagers or just some of them, but the completion rate never reached 100%, even if it got as high as 90%. Even Luke in his prior timeline tried everything he could to question the victims, but they could not respond so he killed them all, which similarly ended in nothing.

Luke was thinking "Looks like I have to give up on 100% completion this time as well". As Luke was ready to depart, he thought of a possibility and walked back to the village center after recalling certain player predictions and the game's history.

When the village head saw his hero return, he questioned, "Why have you come back, Hero?"

Luke answered "You see old man; I am a Bard by profession and would like to play a song for the people who died at the hands of the monsters since I will not be present at the funeral of the dead people"

Luke asked while lying "Would you also provide me with any instrument to play since I misplaced my instruments somewhere during the fight and cannot find them now".

The Village Chief thought the request was a little strange at first, but after receiving a message from "his master," he granted it. He said, "I have an old 'canaith mandolin' of the times of my great grandfather would you be okay with it?" The Village Chief wondered who would play these instruments these days, but who was Luke, a master when it came to musical instruments.

"Yes, sir no problem, I am fine with anything" replied Luke.

The elderly man's face twitched a little, but he still walked inside and brought out the mandolin.

Luke grabbed the mandolin in his hand and started playing some strings. When he saw that it was still playable, he asked the chief, "Can you call out every single survivor? After all, this is a song I'm playing for your dead people."
