It's Just A Facade

Connor, observing all this, realized that Sebastian's mood swings were tied to his concern for Victoria. Even though Sebastian had a child with Malia, Connor knew Sebastian wouldn't let Victoria go.

And he knew Sebastian's parents were strict. If they heard that Sebastian was protecting another woman while married to Malia, they would surely not react well.

Connor let out a sigh and turned to face Myra. Connor struggled to get Myra's attention. She seemed dazed, deep in her own thoughts. He called her name, but she didn't respond.

He considered trying to shake her shoulder, but that would require too much effort. His own injuries prevented him from moving easily. But he couldn't just give up.

Finally, despite the pain, he reached out and touched her arm. "Myra," he said.

Myra flinched as someone touched her arm. "Hey, are you okay?" Connor said.
