The Pendant (1)

Victoria sat on the edge of the bed, staring at the clothes Seth had left for her. Her thoughts were a jumble of confusion and exhaustion.

She still couldn't believe everything that had happened in the past 24 hours. Being kidnapped, then rescued by Seth—it all felt like a bizarre dream.

As Victoria hastily changed into the oversized shirt and shorts Seth had provided, the door to the room suddenly swung open without warning. Victoria's eyes widened in shock, and she quickly crossed her arms over her chest, her face flushing a deep shade of red. "Seth!" she exclaimed, her voice laced with embarrassment and surprise.

Seth, equally caught off guard, spun around abruptly, his own face mirroring Victoria's embarrassment. "I'm so sorry!" he stuttered, his eyes averted. "I didn't mean to barge in like that. I thought you might need some towels," he explained, his voice laced with apology.
