Institut de l'Éclat Astral

Having scanned the wristband in front of the imposing astral alloy doors marked with a Z, a small buzzing noise could be heard from the distance. After a couple of seconds, a Piccolo made its way to Aymon. The Piccolo is a special non-combat drone designed with the sole purpose of guiding the new students of the academy, and as it arrived next to Aymon, its AI initiated the conversation.

"Good morning, student Aymon Kriegsschaten! I am Piccolo Z234V5, and I will be responsible for guiding you and helping with your accommodation," it said.

Aymon nodded, not expecting anything more from a lifeless device created with the sole purpose of doing one task, but at the same time thinking about the information that he could get from this Piccolo.

He wasn't the only one in front of the alloy doors who had a small bug-like drone next to him; there were many others in the same situation, all waiting for one thing: the moment the doors would open, and they would step foot inside the academy's Z-building front yard, becoming part of the 80th generation of students. The names of the secondary buildings were in alphabetic order, from A to Z. At that time, Aymon had no knowledge as to what the exact meaning behind this order was, so he didn't jump to conclusions.

"There should be 15 minutes and 21 seconds until we enter through these doors. There are quite a lot of interesting people in this suffocating crowd. I can see the kids of a couple of S rankers and some people with quite intriguing talents, or so I should say."

Just as Aymon looked through the crowd to sort out the people he should stay close to for his future benefit, someone bumped his shoulder, pretty hard at that, making him lose balance for a couple of seconds. In a blink of an eye, Aymon analyzed the direction from which that person came, his trajectory, and deduced his weight from the impact with his body. Considering the fact that Aymon was 181.42cm tall and weighed 78.53 kg, with a body fat percentage of 12.1% and a bone density of 1.8, the person that hit him should be a War class student weighing at least 86kg.

----

He was right. In reality, 2 seconds passed; inside Aymon's head, it was closer to 2 minutes. His talent allows him to analyze every single detail about an event, ability, movement, theory, or concept, and fully understand it in a matter of seconds. His talent turned his brain into the most powerful computing machine known to humankind. It wasn't always like this. When he was a kid, his parents thought that his talent was simply boosting his IQ and his ability to analyze. They were right, at first. As he started to acquire more information, Aymon's brain became a bicameral computation unit. One part of it stored information like an archive and the other part was a constantly evolving ability to analyze, understand, and overcome.

He was someone who was fully in control of his body as he rigorously trained with his ability to analyze. He could feel every single muscle cell inside his body and move his joints to the maximum to reach the best possible movement at any given time. You could say that he is the most optimized human being. He was perfect but not 100% perfect. Why? He didn't have all the knowledge in the world. His ability to evolve is dependent on his ability to acquire knowledge and develop new theories, then test them and further improve his capabilities. He reached C-rank only thanks to his ability to analyze and optimize his body to the maximum. Most humans with non-combat abilities can't reach C-rank in a lifetime; that's why the Peace class represents only 10% of the academy's total number of students. He went from F-rank at 14 to C-rank at 18.

After the analysis process was completed, Aymon looked forward to other such events that would serve as excellent learning material for him. With that in mind, he decided to memorize this interesting human.

"Amazing... someone with such a build flew under my radar. I will keep an eye on this person, DBsh-1888643-wb." (Aymon's way of saving information until a person's name and other defining characteristics become known to him: Dark Brown short hair-188cm tall, 86 kg, size of foot: 43, well-built)

With such a thought in mind, Aymon spent the remaining 15 minutes and 5 seconds fully aware of his surroundings to avoid something like this happening again.

As the time passed, Aymon's Piccolo started explaining:

"In 5 seconds, the doors will open, and I will advise you to move according to my instructions to reach the ceremony, dear student."

Aymon's response was the same as the previous one, a simple nod of his head using minimal movement to minimize muscle strain and energy loss.

The doors opened, and people rushed. Aymon avoided each and every single one with minimal movement and observed every single aspect to have a full image of the passage from the entrance to the Z-building, as it will be useful in the future. A green scenery, perfect grass, perfectly shaped trees, the distance between the granite slabs was 0.5cm, etc.

All the information available in Aymon's field of view was being absorbed by his brain with every new step across the pathway to the dignified secondary building that was shaped like a flipped U. It allowed entry to the main campus where the main building was, so the pathway continued for another 1,456km from Aymon's estimation, but they would be going there tomorrow when the classes will start. Now, the new students have to attend the ceremony in the building that they were assigned to. This ceremony served as an introduction to the academy's laws, rankings, facilities, and whatnot.

After 6 minutes and 2 seconds of walking at a pace of 5.5 km/h, they reached the Z building, which would be Aymon's house for at least a part of the year.
