Alpha Female: Rising Above Everything

I woke up early this morning. I was too anxious to sleep. Khalis and I got an early start. We are heading to see Alpha Richard. The drive takes about two hours. Our wolves could have made it in 45 minutes, but Khalis insisted on taking the car. Whatever, I just want to get there, get the information, and return to my pack to put things back in order. My beta and gamma tried again to talk me out of this, but my mind was already made up. Zell came down for breakfast today. She looked beautiful as ever, but I could see the hurt in her eyes when she saw Khalis and me together. It did not help that Khalis had her hand on my arm as we walked. Khalis made the point of acting like we were a couple. 


“You are just realizing that Khalis has given everyone the impression that you and she are together? Who do you think started all of the rumors about her being the next Luna?” Emil said. 


“I asked her about that and she denied starting that rumor,” I said.
