chapter 25

"Mom!"

A sob escaped my mouth at the sight of my mother. Six months, it has been six months, since I last saw her. I squealed with happiness and threw my arms around my mother and hugged her tightly inhaling her scent, her love. We both were in tears when we pulled away.

"Mom!" I hiccupped, "I-I missed you!" I cried.

"Shh, sweetheart, I missed you too." she cried, wiping my tears, "I've been losing my mind these months by the thought of you not being there, of you being hurt."

I leaned myself in her hands.

"I am fine." I hushed her, "don't cry, mother."

"Oh," her eyes widened as she remembered something, "let's get you back come on!" and took my hand, dragging me hurriedly.

I nodded and followed her to the car. She was happy; it could be seen through her eyes.
