chapter 110

ANGELINA -

I screamed until my throat coughed out dry air. Mike's body fell on the ground with a loud thud; his eyes wide open in shock stared at the ceiling. My heartbeats fastened under my rib cage.

I stared at the man, unaware of what Ace was doing. I heard him curse loudly and then I looked up.

If I was afraid of him before, I was terrified of him now. His green eyes were hauntingly staring at me. I didn't dare to move a muscle.

I slowly watched Ace drag Mike's body through the living room behind the couch. Just a few hours ago, this man fed me, saved me from Ace, and now, he lay dead in the same house.

"Look what you made me do!" Ace spoke finally.

I was too scared to say anything. My eyes stayed glued to the smeared red on the floor. Mike's blood felt like accusing me, shouting at me for his life.

"I was going to give you an easy death," Ace said coming closer, "But now, you have to pay for the mess you made."
