Chapter 20

"HOW COULD YOU HAVE NEVER TASTED RAMEN!!" Naruto screamed, "YOU MUST EAT SOME!" 

I laughed as we walked out the library. Surprisingly, Naruto had been willing. He was actually pretty good. If he had someone to teach him, he could probably be considered a prodigy. Too bad he had very little motivation. 

It was lunch. My shift would end in two hours, then Yugao would come and take over. We headed towards Ichiraku Ramen. It looked just like it had in the canon. I never tasted it because I never found the time. "Hi Naruto," said Teuchi, "Who's this you brought with you?" 

"This is Big sis Rin! She's going to teach me how to be a super strong ninja!" said Naruto, "Two extra large Miso ramen with lots of pork!" ordered Naruto. 

I smiled, "Nice to meet you, I am Nohara, Rin." 

Teuchi's eyes lit up in recognition, "You were the fourth's student right?" 

I nodded and Naruto stared at me. "The fourth? As in the hokage?" 

I shrugged. "That's so AWESOME! Tell me big sis, what was he like?" 

I looked sadly at Naruto, who didn't know that Minato-sensei was his dad. I sighed, "Well… he kind of looked like you. He was blond with blue eyes… " 

"Really? Tell me more!" 

I smiled, "Well he was a good teacher and he helped anyone who needed help, no matter who they were. Sometimes he was really funny and then other times he could be really scary." 

"He sounds super cool!" said Naruto. 

"Here's your ramen," said Teuchi.

I hand tapped me on the shoulder as I finished the last bit of my ramen. 'Yugao.' Naruto was still eating. He was on his fifth bowl. How much could that boy eat? "Naruto," I said, "I'll be right back." 

I teleported, Yugaoo's hand still on my shoulder. We were in the alley next to the ramen shop. "What are you thinking?" she hissed, "You're disobeying a direct order from hokage-sama! You're the ANBU captain." 

I shrugged, "F*ck Hokage-sama, I've had enough." 

Yugao frowned, "But-" 

"No buts," I said, "You've seen the way other villagers treat him. He doesn't deserve." 

"He's a monster," said Yugao, "It's our mission to guard him, not… eat ramen with him." 

I frowned, "If he's a monster," I said, "I'm much worse. Plus! The ramen is delicious, come have some!" 

Yugao seemed at loss for words. "But…" 

I shrugged, "You're loss." 

I returned to the ramen stand. "Hey Naruto, sorry about that. Shall we go train now?" 

He nodded and pulled out his wallet. "Uh oh…" he looked at me sheepishly, "I don't have any money…" 

I smiled and pulled out my wallet, "Thank's boss." 

Teuchi smiled and took the money. "Come on," I motioned Naruto to follow me to the training ground, "So, tell me, what happened to your money? Do they not give you a monthly amount?" 

He didn't meet my gaze, "I… um… yeah, they gave me money…" 

"Naruto," I said sternly, "What happened to your money?" 

He sniffed, "Yester day… he said… he said that I was a monster and he took it all…" 

I sighed, "We'll just teach you to defend yourself then."

"Hi Hokage-sama! You called?" I appeared in his office.

He didn't even scream this time. He glared at me. "You disobeyed a direct order. You know you weren't allowed to interact with him."

I gave him a forced smiled, "So I should have left my sensei's son, a three year old boy, to be beat up with a broom by a man who's more than ten times his age?"

Hiruzen sighed, "It's not safe…"

I glared at him, "Safe? You want to talk about safe? You're letting a three year old boy live on his own in a dirty old apartment. You know he was mugged by his neighbor yesterday?" 

"I-" he stuttered, "He's… Danzo…"

"Oh no you don't," I slammed my hands on the desk, "Did Danzo tell you it was dangerous for me to interact with him? Let me guess it's cause I'm a jinchuuriki and so is he, and he thinks we're going to start some coup or something… am I right?"

Hiruzens expression gave it away. "Of course," I muttered, "You trust that manipulative man more… sigh…" 

Sandaime sighed again, "I gave you an order and you disobeyed it Rin." 

I shrugged, "Alright, fire me. Actually, no, I quit." 

"Wai-" I disappeared. 

I got finals for school so im taking a hiato for a bit, probably until january, sorry, Thank you for reading so far!
