She died and was reborn as Rin Nohara, a character destined to die. She would change her fate and she would change the fate of all the others. Maybe Kakashi wouldn't be depressed. Maybe Obito wouldn't go down the darkside and maybe Naruto could keep his dad. On the other hand... she could live a normal life, be a normal shinobi, get married, have kids, then die a normal death of natural cause. But if she's a jinchuurkiki... how's she going to do that? *sigh...* life is so hard...

Naruto: Resilience

"You're good with kids…" muttered Yugao. We were eating lunch at the Akimichi's barbeque place.

Most people were there: Guy, Genma, Raido, Iwashi, Kurenai, Ebisu, Anko, Iruka, and some other people. Kakashi had showed up, surprisingly. Asuma wasn't there because he joined the 12 Guardian Shinobi. He would be back in about two years. "Trouble?" I asked.

Yugao nodded, "I've got to…" her voice turned into a whisper, "I've got to babysit Sasuke, you know, the last Uchiha."

I nodded, "That kids a brat right?"

She shrugged, "All he's done is mope and yell at me. Got any tips?"

"Well…" I said, "You could… take him to meet Naruto?"

"What he needs is YOUTHFULNESS!" declared Guy.

Yugao glared at him, "His entire family was killed by his brother."

Guy shrunk under her withering gaze. "How about… well just let him mope, give him a shoulder to cry on," I suggested.

"That's impossible," shouted Yugao, her fist slamming onto the table, "I swear, he's gonna kill me too. His eyes almost look like Sharingan."

I look at her in surprise, "You think he's got Sharingan?"

She shook her head, "Red eyes from crying, probably."

"Naruto," said Yugao, looking at her unwilling pupil, "Do you know Sasuke Uchiha?"

I whacked him hard on the back of the head, "Be nice, you're kind of dumb too."

He shook his head, "I'm the best!"

Genma snorted, "You're last in your class in terms of theoretical ninjutsu…"

"That stuff is useless!" exclaimed Naruto, "I'm the best in everything else!"

"Not you too, Big Sis!" pouted Naruto.

I laughed, "I was going to say that theoretical stuff sucks. But Naruto, you're also really bad at other stuff."

I shrugged, "You'll never know~"

"Try and be his friend?" asked Yugao, "Is that too much to ask?"

Naruto shrugged, "He doesn't want to be my friend anyways. All the girls think he's like super hot or something. I mean, I'm cute, but they think he's handsome. And, he thinks he's too cool to be my friend because I'm an orphan."

A mix of emotions flashed across my face before disappearing in an instant. Naruto stared at me, "Hey Big Sis, what was that? Why were you looking at me like that?"

I shook my head, "He's an orphan now too. He's living all alone. Why don't you help him out? Show him the ropes."

Naruto grinned evily. 'Uh oh…'
