Chapter 31: Honoring Mother’s Tradition

Eric's POV

As I looked at myself in the mirror, I couldn't help but feel the butterflies in my stomach fluttering. Today was the day of our charity event, and I had never felt so excited before. It was going to be an eventful day filled with speeches, donations, and a whole lot of love.

But despite my excitement, I couldn't shake off the nervousness that had settled in me. It had been years since I last spoke on stage, and the thought of doing so again was intimidating.

Just as I was about to gather my thoughts, I heard a knock on my door, and there stood Stephen – my handsome, loving boyfriend, who had come an hour early.

"Why are you here so early?" I asked him, surprised by his sudden appearance.

"I just wanted to see how you're doing," he replied. "Not nervous, are you?"

I giggled and looked up at him, feeling grateful for his presence. He then wrapped his arms around me, and I felt his warm breath on my neck as he kissed me.
