Reading that message, I then head out to the said location. It's around 15 minutes walk from my house, and someone that is part of the group lives near me, a few blocks apart from mine to be exact. So I decided to wait for them.
I arrived and ringed their doorbell. The response was quick. He opened the door, we greeted each other and head out right away.
"So, do you have any idea why she's asking us to come at this hour?" I asked.
He replied with "You know her. She loves to decide something at the last minute. Remember when we all were about to enter middle school? She changed her decision to enter the other school the day before the exchange."
"Haha, don't remind me of that dark age."
"So how was your school? You know, it's not a school where regular people can just enter."
"Well, it's the same with regular school I guess. Nothing too unordinary."
"If you're happy with it, then that's fine."
This guy is my friend, part of the group. His name is Norigami Hanse. We used to be classmate who just so happened to get along well. Actually, everyone from the group are of the same interest as mine. He might looked like a delinquent from the outside with all that piercing, tattoo, chains, rings, black tank-top and blonde hair, but he's the most caring person in the group. Like an uncle that's happy when his siblings had a child. The reason he wear this kind of clothes are for fashion. He thinks this kind of fashion looks good. He might gone to a different school than mine, but we still are a close friend. Without realizing, we already reached our destination.
I pushed the door to the cafe open, and was greeted by the owner himself. This huge, buffed alpha male on the counter, is none other than my friend's dad. Those huge biceps can probably knock out a bear just by one swing. And his chest definitely defeated the girls in term of size. I don't know his age, but his actual profession is writing article for the news magazine. Yes, I know. When you see that kind of body, you'd expect him to take steroids as breakfast and work as construction worker lifting a crane with one arm. This cafe is an inheritance from their grandparents. The smell of coffee, the dull color of the cafe, the calming atmosphere, it's all to die for. You can even smell the table, as if it's the pure smell of wood.
"Welcome, welcome. Everyone else is on the other side of the cafe. Forgive me if my daughter's being a problem to you."
"Oh, it's not a problem at all sir. We enjoy spending time with her, and so does everyone else. Right, Azu?"
"Yeah, everyday is so fun with them. I don't really have many friends, but I do know that they are all special friends. It feels like I am blessed by God, to have such an amazing friend I can hangout with."
"That so, then I'm happy to hear it. Go ahead and order whatever you want, it's on the house. I'll send it all to your table later."
"Then, me and Azu will take....."
.
...
On the different side of the cafe :
"But Izuki, are you absolutely, certainly sure that the Pokemon card game is gone? It was only faulty wiring and button registration problem."
"Yeah, I'm 100% sure. They just put the machine behind the arcade, and not the repair area. I just checked today with that acquaintances of mine, they already planned to send it off."
"Oh right, that game didn't make much as the other, like that Yu-Gi-Oh cards right?"
"Yeah see, Sohee gets it. There's nothing we can do about it, Julia. Just cope and accept reality."
"Hwaaaa"
Julia cries with her head on the table. My name is Sohee, but I don't have to introduce myself, right? This two is my friend, the one with pink hair and cyan eye is Julia. The most troublesome, extroverted and loudest of us all. Despite how she acts, she's a year older than me. She's the embodiment of eat, sleep, game, repeat. But if I remember correctly, she's not like this a few years ago. I don't know what exactly happened that made her do a complete 180° like this. People don't just change their personality that fast, but I got a feeling that this is probably something big that we would unravel in the future. If I am able to witness it, that is.
And the one with dark purple and golden eye is Izuki. He's.....kind of an exact opposite of Julia. Calm, disciplined and mature. He's way too serious about life. His family owned a company specialized in sports. Not as big as Nike, Adidas etc. But, that company is famous with the locals of the country, since their branch all sell 70% of the original price. Born with both talent, connection and wealth, he still hangs out with us. Though, his father put on a big expectation on him, to the point that he's not allowed to hang out with us. He still isn't allowed to, but he somehow sneaked out unnoticed. Maybe, this is how he is rebelling against his father. He's also the only one who could deal with Julia, other than her own father. Also a year older than me, the same as Julia.
"Now now, we can just go to other arcades, right Julia?" I replied, patting her back to console her.
"Right? There are more fish in the pond, or in this case, more arcade in the XXX area. Who knows, we might find the same Pokemon game, or even better. Like, a Gundam arcade machine or DMC one?" Izuki follow-up with words that are simply irrefutable.
"Then....how about tomorrow?" Julia asked.
"Yeah, of cour-"
"6.30am, gather here."
"WHAT, NO. ALL THE ARCADES USUALLY OPEN AT 8AM." Izuki and I replied in sync.
"Plus, that's too early. I wake up at 7 usually, and all the other butlers and maids are probably awake, so they'd probably snitch about me going out that earl-"
.
"Sup. We arrived on time, right?" Hanse and Kazune asked, as they walked through the curtains that covers the door instead of a door.
"Yeah, and guess what. The Pokemon Card Machine is gone." Julia stated.
"What? For real? But I have only played it a few times. Didn't even have time to test the Mega Evolve function." Kazune replied with slightly disappointed looks, as he sits beside Izuki.
"Well, atleast you didn't spend hundreds of dollars on that game, unlike a certain unnamed girl". I said while glancing at the still weeping Julia, as we all laughs at our sad senior.
.
"Okay, two chocolate milk tea, one black coffee, one iced chocolate cappuccino and one iced lemon tea. Drinks are all here."
"Thanks, Papa. Tomowwow, can I go pway with my fwiends?"
"Yes, as long as you didn't waste too much money on arcade again. Okay, Julia?"
"Yaaay, thanks Papa." Julia hugged her father like a child that just got a toy as a birthday present from their parents. He didn't know, that her beloved daughter is about to go find another arcade to waste her money on. But if she go overboard, we might as well stop her.
.
"A loving father, huh?" Izuki murmurs silently.
"What?" I, Kazune, replied.
"Oh, nothing. I just hope that, no matter what happens, this friendship between all of us will last forever."
"....I see, hopefully so."
( I hope it was just my imagination, not that I wish to be delusional. I just hope that, I simply misheard whatever Izuki just said.)
