201. The Strongest

In Samui's case, even her closest family was threatened and she was sure that even if her case were known to the higher-ups, they would try to keep a tight lid on the matter even if it meant silencing her.

What does the interest and well-being of one Kunoichi compare to the reputation and order of the whole village?

If Samui's matter were known to the public then it would cause widespread outrage and it would imply that the Higher-ups were abusing their power and it would deter Civilians from wanting to become Shinobi's which would be a huge loss.

So there was no right or wrong in Samui's case, there were only interests.

Rules are for the weak to feel secure while the strong don't need to follow them.

In the end, Samui would become a sacrifice to keep the interests of the village just like how Sakumo Hatake and the Senju clan members were sacrificed by Konoha to keep the village's interests.

No matter how Sarutobi Hiruzen tried to deny it, it was the truth that he let the members of the Senju clan die on the battlefield to preserve stability.

Even if he wasn't the culprit behind all of those incidents he was just as guilty as the ones responsible for the incident.

His inaction led to those tragedies.

The only reason Itsuki didn't kill the old man was due to him having no clue about the incident of his parent's murder. ( And watching Asuma grow up is the biggest punishment)

Freedom and equality are illusionary, true freedom or equality never exists no matter what kind of civilization.

The ones in power would always have privileges that they would abuse and Itsuki also was aware of this.

He didn't have any intention of doing anything because he himself knew he would certainly favour his family more.

He was not going to go all Dragon country on the people and preach about equality and try to create a new world that shines under the red flag. { If you know you know }

He wasn't interested in starting a revolution.

All he would do was to provide opportunities for talented individuals no matter their background but nepotism would always exist.

No matter how lacking in talent his children were, Itsuki would always favour them and as long as he was alive, Konoha would always be ruled by him and people related to him.

The Senju clan would always be the ones in power....

.....

Samui was relieved that she wouldn't have to be a rogue shinobi and live on the run.

She didn't doubt Itsuki's words as she knew how strong this man was.

He was able to kidnap the Hachibi out of the Jinchuriki without alerting anyone so it wasn't that far-fetched to think that he could make it so that she wasn't at all involved with those three missing people.

Samui still was a bit curious and decided to ask about it another time or later.

But this thought made her excitement dampen a bit, after this would she ever get to see him again?

Samui was aware that she had developed a small crush on the person who had saved her at her lowest point.

How could she not like him when he was so good-looking, along with his strength which should most probably be the strongest among all the Major Shinobi villages.

As a person who respected the strong, Itsuki only became much more attractive in her eyes.

Her first impression of him was naturally good due to his appearance and his demeanour.

He was very respectful and caring to her a total stranger.

If this didn't make her heart skip a beat then she would be made out of stone and she certainly wasn't especially with the recent things that happened.

Samui understood she wasn't in the right state of mind now and her current feelings were more than likely a product of her fragile mind.

But she didn't care, it was the first time in her life that she felt this giddy feeling. In all her years as a Shinobi, she had never cared about anything other than completing the mission and getting the paycheck.

{ It's extremely nice when your crush goes out with your friend 🦆 You feel so happy that you feel like lighting some fireworks 🎇🎇}

Samui wished to meet him again but she knew it might not be possible unless she was able to go to Konoha.

But that seemed like a difficult task and even if she was able to see him again....so what? What would happen, what was the point?

It was just a one-sided crush from her side. She was just an orphan with limited talent and no background.

The only thing she could think was worthy about her was her body but seeing his nonchalant and respectful demeanor she kind of lost a bit of confidence.

He was a Senju, he should be skin to royalty in Konoha and she was just a nobody.

There should be countless women throwing themselves at him and him helping her out should be out of kindness.

She didn't bother to think for what reason he was in Kumogakure, most likely an infiltration mission or Intel gathering.

But even though she knew why he was here or what his objective was, it was futile because she who knew his true strength was keenly aware of how dangerous he was.

And if he wanted to destroy Kumogakure, then nothing could stop him...
