She was cruel…Yes! Because all she could think about people that served her and lost their lives in the process was the pity of loosing good instruments that were rare to find but that was why she was called the Traceless Demon. The term 'Demon' was only awarded to humans that were no longer on the same level of power, cruelty and brutality of the average human.
She had ascended from killing in singles because with her displeasure, an entire town would become rivers of blood with no escape or survivor. Her name was taken from the organisation that her father ruled, The Abyssal Demons.
The Abyssal Demons had been around for about nine centuries now but was mostly believed to be a cult. It was only when her father took over that it was transformed from a local cult, to an international empire. Her father had been the first individual to merge every underworld gang and organisation into one due to his overwhwelming strength, brutality and cunning. Even after taking many women, he had no success in producing a male heir only females. The females had learned the art of assassinations from their mothers and assassinated each other over the cause of the years. Most times, they assassinated not only themselves, but their mothers to avoid any potential contender.
This was one of the reasons why Ellen became a demon. As one of two hundred females who were direct descendants of the Abyssal demons, she was trained with the brutality of life. Watching as her mother died one of the most brutal deaths in order for her to escape, broke the into pieces all of the humanity in her. She went mad and decided to hunt everyone of her sisters and aunts. Both guilty and innocents were going to be killed by her.
She loved to hear them scream in pain, watch them beg for mercy or curse at her and beg to die. She hated the obstinate ones that refused to whimper or beg. Their eyes full of disdain usually angered her. It was then, that she learnt one of the most brutal punishments in human history. Skinning someone to the bones. The desire to fulfill her goals drove her forward recklessly but she had learned how to ride this horse of revenge.
She had skinned about five of her sisters, skin layer by layer, cartilage by cartilage, pulling their muscle fibers while drawing their tendons. She paid expensively just to keep them alive while she practiced the sweet art of torture down to her last sister.
During this process, she had learned to form relationships either by buying out other's assigned agents outright or through the use of inhuman brutality. She took the best courses on tracing and tracking just to make sure she never missed a single detail. Anyone that had the slightest relationship with her victim was dead. Even down to the cashier at the supermarket.
Training extensively in combat, improved her reflexes by a large margin and her instinct were sharpened to the core. When she killed her last sister, the same one that killed her mother, for once she felt lost and empty. She had no more goals or desires. She was alone, not that it mattered but the feeling of being idle, was killing her.
The internet was only good for her tracking, every other form of distraction such as entertainment were useless to her. She just could not bring back that long and forgotten smile. Burying the memory of her mother had always being a hidden scar that could never heal but nevertheless she liked it that way.
When the idleness got to her, she realized an obvious and glaring fact. With the absence of a male as heir, she was the only person qualified to take the throne after her father. She realized this but so did others. Some of the members of her father's regional overseers, the Abyssal Lords tried to kill her when she went on missions in their territories.
When she had escaped, she made sure she killed every single member of the Abyssal Demons in that region. This had caused waves of shock throughout the whole organisation. Some members of the shadow council suggested that she be put on leash. But her father, the Obsidian Lord allowed her to reign freely.
Finally, some members of the shadow council came together in secret and tried to assassinate her. Ellen almost died because she never expected to be backstabbed. All of her elite men were slaughtered and she survived by the skin of her teeth. Those mysterious members of the council had searched for her everywhere with all their availaible manpower but she had successfully evaded them.
By the next week, a horrifying news reached the members of the shadow council that wanted to assassinate Ellen. One of them had died!
These members of the shadow council became horrified at the possibility. It was almost impossible to know who they were because their identities were the most hidden in the world. The only people who were knowledgeable about them were the Obsidian Lord and the priest. Scared shitless by this rampaging demon, they minimised their whereabouts and increased their levels of security several times but it was all futile.
Throughout the next three weeks, four more council members died by the hands of Ellen which left the next council meeting almost half deserted. There were originally twelve council members, but when Ellen killed five, they were left with seven. The most important thing they had taken note of, was that there was only one person that matched the manner of killing that each of these individuals suffered, Ellen.
They died in brutal manners. Most died through the horrible technique of skin to bone. One more thing was that, the killer was entirely traceless. She could not be traced or found. It was as if the killer was a ghost because even some diviners couldn't find any evidence apart from the fact that the killer was a lady.
When the organisation almost started feeling that it was the work of some outside force, they noticed that the records matched with Ellen's previous records when she went on a killing spree. No individual was spared and even the Central Intelligence Agency could find no trace of the killer. She was a headache to the CIA and one of their most mysterious problems. She was virtually traceless.
The organisation decided to pass the matter to their Lord, who called Ellen to a meeting with the shadow council and after confirming from her that she killed every single shadow council member, he named her right there as the successor to his throne as she had proven herself.
From then on, Traceless, terror of the underworld, only heir to the throne of the Abyssal Demons, daughter to the current ruler of the underworld, The Obsidian Lord, rose to fame. Wherever her name was heard, people would tremble and security forces would abandon their jobs. No one wanted to fight a demon.
