Operation Feed The Street

Chapter 15

When I got back to the bar, it was around 2 am and the bar was closed. I don't know why, but Uncle Ken always closes early on Sunday. Walking through the bar, I reaffirmed my stand on the investment I was going to make today.

Looking back one last time at the bar, I decided it was time to go to sleep. As soon as I entered my room, I tossed away my clothes and changed into my pajamas.

When done with that simple deed, I hopped into bed and began to dream about the coming good times in my life.

"WAKE UP, IT'S 6 AM."

"WAKE UP, IT'S 6 AM."

"WAKE UP, IT'S 6 AM."

I knew the sleep was not enough, but I still had to wake up because today I was going to invest. But before even doing that, I needed to select my games for today. I got up reluctantly and began to play the games.

Today Brighton was playing against Brentford, and Manchester United was playing against Chelsea. To be honest, these games are high-goal-scoring matches, and both teams are playable too. I decided to choose the option that gave me the best odds because I wanted to hit big while I still had my halo of luck on top of me.

Brighton Vs Brentford

Both Teams to Score

Odds: 1.87

Manchester United Vs Chelsea

Both Teams to Score

Odds: 1.82

Stake: $1000

Odds: 3.42

Bonus: 762

Pot Win: $4182

Looking at my potential win if this bet wins, I could only pray to God to let this game be successful. After finishing the games at my end, I told the guys I was done with the games and ready to sell. The same price of $50.

After posting this in the group, I got a lot of messages telling me they were ready to trade with me. I posted my account details to them and waited for the money to start flowing in.

Posting the free game and winning the games I posted yesterday made people believe in my ability to reach unprecedented levels.

So, I was able to sell the games to 32 people, which translated into $1600. I knew this was just the starting point today, but I was still looking forward to more. I was human, and greed is one of the strongest characteristics of our race.

After 3 hours of trading with the people on Facebook, I was able to pocket $3400. This was a lot of money and the perfect one for starting the investment with too.

When done with the Facebook trading, I took my bath and brushed my teeth. I put on black jeans and wore my signature white Chase Deer.

Looking at myself one last time in the mirror, I walked to Uncle Ken's station to propose my business proposition to him. When I got there, he was at his usual workstation, cleaning the glass and whistling some melodious tunes.

"Good morning, Travis Where are you going this morning?"

"Nowhere, sir; in fact, I am coming to talk with you about a business idea I had after the discussion we had on Friday."

"Hmmmmm, interesting. Want some drinks?"

"Yes, I do; any kind of juice would be fine."

"Okay, son, talk. I am all ears to this idea you have."

"Uncle Ken New York has legalized weed in New York, which is a good thing for business, but I felt this bar lacked something. It lacks something that makes one feel satisfied after downing alcohol and smoking himself or herself into oblivion. This bar lacks a food bar. I think when most people drink here, they feel the need to take in something solid, especially after one becomes high. They become like dogs if not fed. So, I plan to build a food bar in your bar to feed those dogs. I know I have to get a permit and all that shit, but we both know that is not necessary if you are not caught breaking any law or not caught in the act."

"I will sell only meat to feed the dogs, but I would do it in such a way that would not attract attention to the business we will run."

When I finished speaking, I looked at Uncle Ken to see if he had any reaction. And all I could see was him smiling.

"I want 30% of the profits you would make, and I want you to start this little adventure of yours this evening. Is that a deal, young lad?" Uncle Ken asked me with his eyebrows raised.

"Yes, sir, and thank you for hosting me," I said in all earnest and dashed out to get the ingredients to prepare some seasoned meat, steak, or whatever you want to call it.
