Freiheit's normally light-hearted demeanor took on a grave tone as he intertwined his fingers together and rested his elbows on his knees.
"I just want to reconcile with you, Evan."
"Again, Freiheit," Evan said, emphasizing his words. "How can we ever reconcile knowing the fact that you're dating my sister?"
"Our sister," Freiheit corrected before he realized the mistake he made and how he was proving Evan's point. "Fuck--"
"See!" Evan scoffed, using his hands for emphasis. "You see her as a sister, yet you're dating her! Don't you have any sense of morality?!"
"Evan," he said with an unusually vulnerable tone in his voice. "I know it might be too much for you and it might be something you might never understand, but I love Cynthia and she loves me, too. I hope this doesn't ruin our relationship—"
