Weighing the Doll’s Options

Evan scrunched up his forehead as if giving Freiheit's suggestion some consideration.

"I don't know…" He said it with a tone of hesitance. "I think it's too early for Eternity to be exposed to such a wide-scale environment where she'll be forced to socialize with many people."

Eternity frowned, propping her arms on her chest. "You don't think I'm capable of socializing with a lot of people?"

"It's not that I 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬 you can't," Evan said defensively. "I just think it might be too much for you."

"Why would you think that?" She asked without a hint of menace in her tone but with genuine curiosity, tapping her fingers on her arm. 

But Evan took it the wrong way, like she was questioning his judgment. Freiheit, seeing that their interaction wasn't going in the direction of bickering but would escalate to an actual fight, tried to return to the topic at hand.
