"Are you okay, D?" J asked, his brown eyes reflecting a glint of concern as he forked his food. "You seem a little red."

To say that Eternity was 'a little red' was an understatement. Her entire face had turned hot and crimson. If she were an anime character, steam would be visibly rising from her head.

She shook her head aggressively in denial. "I was just surprised by your question, that's all."

J looked at her, confusion etched across his features, before realizing his poor choice of words.

"Oh, I didn't mean it that way!" he clarified, sounding a bit embarrassed. "What I meant was, how was the experience of working under the supervision of the CEO himself?"

"It's fine," Eternity replied, her face slowly returning to its normal color. She tried her best to sound nonchalant to brush off their ridiculous misunderstanding. "I passed the coffee test, and I wasn't fired on my first day at RBAB. So generally, I think my first day went great."
