"Evanescence!" The door to the CEO's office burst open, and the intruder lacked the common decency to knock before entering.
Evan calmly shifted his eyes from the papers on his desk to the man who had stormed into his office.
"Freiheit," Evan acknowledged his brother with a nod. "I assume your visit to Manika went well—"
"I can't believe you blocked me on every messaging platform!" Freiheit interrupted, fuming as he started to pace around the office like he owned the place.
Evan rolled his eyes, leaning back in his office chair.
"You were harassing me ever since I got engaged—"
"I wasn't harassing you!" Freiheit said, his face red from anger. "I was warning you that you're making the biggest mistake of your life—"
He stopped mid-sentence and mid-pace, his expression darkening as he finally focused his blue eyes on Evan's face.
