Chapter Seventeen

I woke to see Angus sitting next to his Grandmother, just watching her. Worry pasted all over his face. I looked over towards his Grandmothers, she was still asleep, but her breathing seemed to be shallow. As each day kept coming, so did winter and the fear of loosing Sarah, she was all that Angus had left. Which I felt terrible for him. “How is she this morning”, I asked Angus knowing the answer, he just looked at me with sorrow, that seemed to leak off him in waves. He didn’t say a word, he just got up and walked off. I stayed to keep a close eye on Sarah, knowing that Angus needed someone to comfort him, but I didn’t know how to do that as I’ve never been in his situation. For me, I lost my whole family in one go.
