The next day, when I woke, I still felt very drained. I grabbed my phone off my bedside table. The time flashed before me, reading 1:29pm, I normally would’ve been awake by about 9:30am on the school holidays, but today, I couldn’t care, or bother to even move a muscle. My family must be giving me some space, due to the events that occurred yesterday afternoon. My stomach them began growling at me, I simply rolled my eyes, flicked the blanket off my body and slowly crawled out of bed. I wasn’t in the mood to shower and change my clothes, as I was still in yesterday clothes, instead I headed downstairs, towards the kitchen. The house seemed quiet. Very quiet. When I got to the kitchen, it too was quiet. I decided to head towards the carport to check if the family was still, but to my surprise no one was. Odd, but I couldn’t care less. Too drained. I headed back to the kitchen and that’s when I noticed a note sitting on the bench.
