The Fu family arrived. Lucian had sent them a message to come enjoy the show. They loved it when Brillian was humiliated in front of them.

They all came except the old master who was not informed about it since he dotted on Brillian and would try to stop the fun.

They were not prepared for the sight that met them. Their son was kneeling down while Brillian whipped him and battered his skin.

The madam fainted at the sight of the state his son was in. It was heartbreaking for them.

"Brillian Tang how dare you whip my son" howlered and struck his golden cane on the marble floor.

"Son tell us who did this to you" Fu Zhen asked gently but it was like his words fell on deaf ears as Lucian just trembled.

"Lucian tell the truth, who hurt you?" they continued to coax him and he calmed down abit.

Fu Ling came forward and slapped Brillian" how dare you attack my son.... You will regret this "

Brillian looked down abit then turned his face which was laden with tears. He looked innocent. He touched his cheek and came up with the most innocent expression he could master.

"Auntie do I look like I could hurt your son. I love him how could I touch him. My father is just upset. Please don't hold this against him... He is.. A...nice.. Man"

Towards the end he hesitated as if he was not sure. Fu Ling seemed taken aback. To think of it Brillian was dumb and could not possibly hurt Lucian since he was probably head over heels in love with him.

"Mr Tang, please explain. We all know you don't like Brillian maybe you are just putting the blame on him" she spoke up after a while.

YeCi was hysterical with a tear stricken face for crying too long. She could not watch her dad being humiliated like that.

After a minute of consideration they decided to believe YeCi because they also depended on the engagement.

Fu Ling hissed angrily. Seeing that his trick was not working Brillian pulled his smile back and retraced his words.

They couldn't believe their ears. He was lieing right through his teeth open-eyed. Why didn't they believe it.

"that's better" he clapped his hands and took his car keys that he had placed on the table. He sashed right out of the house while humming to some random song. The people in the room were left glaring at him as he walked out like nothing had happened.

As he was pulling out of the garage he heard an ambulance siren and smirked happily. He enjoyed every expression they made.

Now he had to prepare for an even bigger show.....

A person could indeed not understand the human heart.
