Chapter 32 : Demise of the Wild, Vengeance for Sun

Not long after the young God of Thunder left and after him contacting Karoi, an unfamiliar presence got closer to the Ember village. It was after Elara left to Mirazora to inform them about Varek. 

A guy with long black hair, a well kept black beard, in white robes that reveal his chest, he approached a boy he saw outside of the Village.

"Excuse me young one, do you perhaps know where I can find the killer of my son Anubis?" the guy asked, the guy being Ra from the Egyptian Pantheon.

"I don't know anything about that sir, sorry." Zankoku said, going to add something else but being interrupted : "The killer resides in this village, or so the reports say. Do you have any information regarding about any Gods?" the god asked.

"Well actually my friends are Gods" it was only when he said that that he realized he said that out loud and regretted saying it. "I mean..."

Ra let out an optimistical grunt and started to head towards the inside of the village, when Zankoku aimed to punch him in the back of the head.

Dodging his punch by moving his head, Ra grabbed it, pulled the boy and slammed him into the ground cracking it and twisted his arm, breaking it.

Zankoku yelled out in pain as Ra continued on inside.

Dropping down from a building, it was Karoi who met Ra in the center of the village.

"Karoi, a displeasure seeing you here. But don't get your panties in a twist, I'm not here to hunt you down, only to find who killed my son." 

With his mask off, revealing his black eyes and clear face, he spoke : "Yes.. The killer was here but isn't no longer. The same one that killed Varuna and Thor too."

Being intrigued by why he knows that, Ra questioned him further : "Stalking your ex wife? I didn't know you were type of fella to do that but nothing is surprising anymore. What are you doing here anyway? Still searching for your disowned no longer godified son?"

Karoi chucked and waved his head left and right a little : "Nah I found him. But that's not the point.. You still doing Zeus' bidding too or are you on your own here? And just how is everyone else doing?"

"Both. And everyone is just peachy after losing more Gods in the last month than in the last 50 thousand years. Listen... I've not come here for no reason and I really and I mean REALLY want to kill someone. The someone who killed my son and the others who have fallen too. Also you really do remind me of Loki when he was around the first time, you have a familiar facial structure as him.. Odd.. Now. Will you tell me who killed my son or not."

Ra demanded, taking a step closer to Karoi and staring him in the eyes.

"Yeah alright.. The truth is, it was me."

Widening his eyes, Ra took out his spear and went to strike Karoi with it but he quickly pulled out his own and blocked the strike.

"I'll kill you, just like you butchered my son!" Ra yelled out, with his other hand clenching his fist and pulling it down.

A large shadow was above Karoi and it was quickly coming down. A circular shape, a meteorite, a sun.

He jumped back and avoided the attack which destroyed the bridge they were standing on and the surroundings.

Blow after blow with their spears, it was falling into Ra's favor until Karoi blasted him with Thunder Breaker which was dodged.

Ra blasted him with a beam of fire and rushed at him as he was stunned, piercing him with the spear in the liver and dropping him onto the floor.

Punching the god of sun off himself, Karoi stood up and used True Thunder, which stunned Ra.

He rushed at him, aiming to pierce him with the spear through his head. Ra ducked under it and with his hand imbued with not only regular fire but the sun's fire and heat too, he punched through Karoi's chest and dropped him onto the ground, leaving a hole in his chest.

"No hard feelings. Surely you understand how it's like losing a son."

"Mmmhm.."

Nova who had fixed Zankoku's arm and the other warriors inside the village gathered to the sight of this and were surprised. Sensei Primal was a formidable warrior and to see him lose this badly... It was sight shocking.

No one except the unknown guy in the people's eyes could hear Karoi's 

Ra's placed the spear back and pulled out a knife, stabbing Karoi and killing him entirely with no one stopping him.

Not even Nova, it was as if he was hoping that something like this would happen.

An alarm began to sound off a few moments later on the warrior's shinphones, all except the students'. They left the scene unsure if the guy was a threat or not but if he was they'd know and it was time... The demon eye clan.

The time had come for all them to attempt to take back Greenthorn Village so they left, leaving Nova and Zankoku there with multiple other students who quickly left to do something else.

"You, you're a God. Who are you?" Nova asked him, approaching them and watching Karoi's lifeless corpse.

"Ra, the God of Sun from the Egyptian Pantheon. You don't seem particularly moved my this man's death nor quite scared. So I'll ask you as well out of my curiosity, what is your name?"

Nova wasn't hesitant with his response : "Nova, the God of Hell. Nice to meet you."

Ra looked him up and down : "Hm.. So you're the one who took Hades' place.. Zeus is quite angry because his brother is dead, but I suppose you do seem somewhat interesting."

"I'd like to fight you." Nova said "Not to death of course."

"I accept your challenge young one."

Karoi's body began to be surrounded by smoke, smoke coming out from his body to be specific. 

After a few moments it began clearing up and from inside of it stood up a young boy, no older than 14 with slightly long brown hair, red eyes and a white attire with back loose pants, similar to sweatpants.

"Impossible.. Loki?!" Ra yelled out, coming closer to the boy

"Call me Atreus." said the now emerged boy.

"This.. I see. Welcome back. Do you wish to be part of this village for the time being?" he asked him in hopes that he says yes, as he didn't much care about reuniting him with every other God.

"Sure." the boy responded as he looked around and recognized this village.

Ra instructed him to make friends with Nova and Zankoku and he did. Agreeing to go fight now, they went and Zankoku and Atreus talked though Atreus seemed uninterested.

Both the God of Sun and God of Hell took their stance and rushed at each other to fight.

The victor was Ra. Nova was putting up a fight but nothing too amazing.

Zankoku wanted to have a turn so Ra accepted and emerged victorious once more.

"You're strong." said Nova to him.

"You are too so be sure to train and grow and you'll become very strong."

"Thank you. Also I was hoping that you could kill some guy.. His name is Twist and he is really annoying and weird. He becomes weird out of nowhere always..."

Ra thought about it for a moment but didn't want to interfere. Seeing the trees and bushes around, he told Nova to do it himself. He was slightly disappointed but said that he will.

"Who's the strongest kid in this village?" Ra asked.

"Undoubtedly it's Satoru." Nova said without hesitation. "I come 2nd I'd say and the rest is foggy. I still haven't fought everyone so I wouldn't know." being unsure

Hearing that Ra nodded : "I see. Since you're children, there are certain tricks I can show you and some I can give you to help you be stronger. This Satoru fella, you think I can meet him?"

Zankoku waved his head and told him : "He's out of the village on an important high ranked long term mission."

"I see. And of the tricks?"

Nova and Zankoku happily accepted

A day passed and Ra returned as promised the previous day, going to teach them now but he checked in with Atreus first, asking him how he's getting along and everything. He told him that it was fine for the most part.

"It's odd. Karoi is dead and Hanuman has died last night. There was a large cut in his back, like has hit with an axe at full force and his head was stabbed into.."

Zankoku quickly thought of Satoru, knowing that he has an axe too and took a step back.

"Zankoku do you know something?" Ra asked him with a menacing look on his face

"No." he lied.

"Hm.. Anyway let's begin."

First was to test our their teamwork so he had Atreus and Zankoku fight him at the same time, despite them meeting yesterday. 

It wasn't a long lived fight as Ra won... He was disappointed.

Deciding what to do, he summoned a scroll, one he had hidden and no use of and gave it to Nova. It was a technique regarding his tree and wood manipulation called 'The Ashura' 

As for Zankoku, he gave both him and Atreus a few pointers and Zankoku specifically a blue elixir potion, only telling him to drink it.

Ra asked them about how they felt about Karoi as they didn't seem much affected by his death only to find out that Nova didn't care and was even hoping to once kill him himself and that Zankoku found him very odd.

"I have to go but before I do, there is this thing called the Mental God HQ. It's when all of us can in a way project our consciousness there and speak. There are certain restrictions and requirements but I thought I'd let you know that Zeus is taking over slowly but surely the God of Thunder position left behind by Thor. It doesn't sound much, but it adds onto his own power in a way. There is nothing you can do but only know."

They thanked him as he greeted them and left. Unusually calm God, quite strong too. Obviously this one remains in shape..

Kazumi, Jinn and Aza soon arrived there to Nova and Zankoku and they trained together with both of the two trying out their new powers, spending the rest of the nice and sunny afternoon training that day.
