The beginning

In a remote part of the universe, a lone fighter stood his ground against six shadowy figures. Outnumbered and facing opponents of overwhelming power, it had been a hopeless battle from the start.

— "Surrender, Suei. You have nowhere left to go," said an elderly man with a deep, commanding voice.

Suei, standing on the edge of a cliff, wore his usual cheeky smile. This situation — he had lived it many times before. Though the ending was always the same, he knew he'd find a way out.

— "What insolence! Smiling when you're about to die… You must have fallen into madness, young man," yelled another figure, as a flash of lightning revealed a scar running across his face.

— "I guess this is farewell... Or maybe not." With that, Suei leapt off the cliff.

— "Don't let him escape with the key!" shouted the elder, diving after him.

Those were the last words Suei heard before dying once again. Gasping for air, he woke up in his bed, drenched in sweat. It was the same vivid dream, again. When was the last time he had a normal night's sleep? He couldn't remember.

Suei sighed. He had woken up before his alarm clock, as usual. His room was typical of any young adult: video game posters on the walls and his precious, well-organized PC setup on a tidy desk.

— "This time, I escaped a horrible death," he muttered. "Last night was worse, though… they caught and tortured me. Next time, I'll figure out what this key is. I'm sure of it."

Apart from these strange dreams, Suei led a normal life in an ordinary French family. Loving parents, a good relationship with his younger sister — it was as normal as it could be.

Every morning, he followed the same routine: jotting down his dream in a sketchbook, getting ready for college, and heading out with his childhood friend.

— "You're up early today. Didn't have a rough night?" asked Charlie.

Suei had shared his strange dreams with Charlie more times than he could count. She had grown fond of these bizarre stories and talked about them with him daily.

— "Trust me, it could have been worse. They didn't catch me this time," he explained.

Meanwhile, elsewhere on Earth, a shadowy portal opened, and a mysterious silhouette stepped through.

— "His presence... it's here. Catch him alive at all costs," ordered a deep voice, and the shadows scattered in all directions.

Back with Suei and Charlie, they walked their usual route to college.

— "Don't you think the sky is getting darker? They didn't say anything about rain, right? How weird…" Charlie said, looking up at the ominous sky.

Suei felt a sudden wave of danger. Acting on instinct, he pushed Charlie out of the way just as a bolt of lightning struck the spot where she had been standing.

— "Charlie, are you okay?!" Suei rushed to her side.

— "I think so… thanks to you. But what *was* that?" Charlie asked, her voice filled with worry.

— "At last, I've found you… the key," said a familiar yet unrecognizable voice above them. "You've escaped countless times, but it ends now. You have nowhere left to run."

A man floated in the air above them, speaking with an unsettling calmness. The sky rumbled with thunder, as though reflecting his fury.

— "Forgive my intrusion." The man pointed a finger at Suei, and a bolt of lightning shot toward him.

There was nothing Suei could do. Magic and powers were things from his dreams, not reality. How could something like this be happening? Or so he thought.

As the lightning struck, a strange sensation awakened in him. A golden ray of light burst from his chest, and from it, a glowing symbol floated into the air. The attacker smirked with satisfaction.

— "How many times have you slipped through our grasp? But now, it's over. With this symbol, the world will bow before us."

— "Suei… tell me this is one of your weird jokes!" Charlie shouted, shaking him in disbelief.

— "Silence, worm." With a flick of his hand, another lightning bolt struck Charlie, knocking her to the ground.

Suei was speechless. He couldn't make sense of what was happening. The dreams he'd had for years — they were real. And even more terrifying, he truly had this mysterious key inside him.

— "Now, as for you… I've devised a punishment that suits you perfectly."

The man floated down toward Suei, placing two fingers on his forehead. His cruel smile remained as the glowing symbol hovered in his other hand.

— "I will reincarnate you in another world, where you will be the weakest. Everyone will trample over you, and you will die a miserable, lonely death, rejected by all."

The man's cold words pierced Suei's soul. Rage boiled up inside him, a fury unlike anything he had ever felt. This man had taken his life, his best friend — and now wanted to send him to another world?

— "Now *that's* a face I like," the man sneered. "My name is Kaom, ruler of the sky, and soon… ruler of the universe."

Particles of light began to float up from Suei's body. It was disintegrating. His lower half was already gone, leaving only his upper body behind.

— "How pathetic… to see you in such a state. I guess this is farewell, keyholder."

Summoning every ounce of strength left in his fading form, Suei grabbed the key as his body finished disappearing. If he was going to be sent to another world, he would pull one last dirty trick.

— "Curse you, keyholder!" Kaom's voice echoed as Suei vanished. "I swear I will hunt you down across every universe and make you suffer for eternity!"

— "Serves you right," Suei smirked as his body finally disappeared into the void.
