64 " John"

"Elenore!" I yelled, my voice echoing in the silence. Had she just left me? Confusion clouded my mind.

"Elenore, can you hear me?" I called again, but only silence greeted me. The door stood ajar, beckoning me to leave, yet I couldn't see anyone around. I took a hesitant step forward, feeling the house was oddly safe—there was no immediate danger. Still, an unsettling feeling gnawed at me.

As I wandered through the dimly lit corridors, the name "Elenore" slipped from my lips again, a desperate plea. But there was no answer. The surroundings felt eerily familiar, and it struck me like a bolt of lightning: this was Madden's house!

How could that be? I was certain of it. We were ensnared in magic, yet why was I here, in the Madden mansion? It didn't seem to relate to my life at all, but perhaps it was tied to Gabriel in ways I couldn't yet understand.
