Chapter 315: Believe in Science

After realizing that a burglar had broken into her house, Suizi thought of a series of countermeasures.

Normally, the best course of action for a single woman encountering a home invasion would be to escape.

Suizi guessed blindly that her front door was likely locked from the outside.

The thief must have hopped over the wall to get in. The two neighboring houses belonged to teachers who were away during the day, so she could not run out.

If the thief was only after property, it was acceptable to feign sleep and give up some belongings to ensure safety.

Fighting with the thief was the worst possible course of action, especially for someone like Suizi who had no fighting experience and was pregnant. If she infuriated the intruder and he stabbed her stomach, she would be in big trouble.

Suizi turned her body so that her back faced the room door, and kept her breathing even as if she were asleep.
