The person on the bed struggled to turn their head to look at Gu Chen, eyes brimming with cryptic emotions, and soon, tears started to seep from the corners of their eyes.
"He just woke up, so his physical functions aren't very stable yet," Dr. Feng explained. "Many abilities, like movement and speech, haven't recovered. It might take some more time."
Gu Chen turned his head and asked, "How much longer will it take?"
Dr. Feng lowered his head to glance at the person on the bed, his voice somber, "It's hard to say."
Gu Chen turned back silently and comforted the person on the bed, "Uncle Qi, don't worry, you will get better for sure."
Suddenly the person on the bed burst into tears, tears flowing uncontrollably, seemingly filled with infinite regret. Alas, they were unable to speak or move.
Shen Xian stood silently behind Gu Chen, watching them, unsure of their relationship.
It seemed that this person was very important to Gu Chen.
