Shen Xian stood by the window, watching Wan Qi angrily toss away what she called the meticulously made snacks before storming off in her rose-pink sports car, only then did Shen Xian leisurely retract her gaze.
Before even making it back to the desk, a faint knock came from the door.
It sounded tentative and extremely cautious.
The corners of Shen Xian's mouth curled into a hint of a smile as she pulled out a chair and sat down again, casually calling out, "Come in."
Gu Chen heard her voice and pushed the door open, somehow a glass of orange juice had appeared in his hand. He didn't enter immediately but leaned against the doorway, looking at Shen Xian sitting with her back to him.
"Thirsty?" he asked lazily, swinging the juice in his hand and smiling at the hardworking figure before him.
"Not thirsty, thanks for your concern, Mr. Gu," Shen Xian replied.
