The various bosses who were idly chatting felt a chill down their backs, and turned their heads in alarm.
They saw Mr. Chi Lai, dressed in black, straightening his top hat, standing still and gazing at them intently. His gaze was obstructed by sunglasses, but even so, everyone could feel the icy cold look shooting from behind the pitch-black lenses.
"Mr. Chi, Mr. Chi Lai."
Someone took the lead in greeting, and the rest followed suit.
Mr. Chi Lai nodded slightly and replied indifferently, "It's my first time here, greetings to everyone."
Each of them was the boss of a large enterprise, commanding hundreds or thousands of employees; every single one of them was a superior figure with a strong presence. However, in front of Mr. Chi Lai, they all inexplicably felt suppressed.
Although everyone was greeting him, Mr. Chi Lai responded with a simple "greetings to everyone," which was considered a response to them all.
