Soon a group of hospital security staff rushed over, pulling away the cluster of journalists.
Hua Lunxi helped Ye Lu back into the hospital and took her to the emergency room.
"I'll be fine after some rest." Ye Lu said, rubbing her throbbing temples, drawing some strength from his support.
Looking at her off-colour complexion, Hua Lunxi insisted, "You look very pale, it's better to see a doctor."
Ye Lu didn't refuse. She had been feeling off recently, much weaker than usual, sometimes experiencing bouts of dizziness.
This couldn't continue. She carried the weight of her entire family, she had two children to take care of, her mother who had just awakened, the investigation into the old man's cause of death, and a swarm of pestering journalists to deal with.
She could not fall ill. She needed a strong body.
Hua Lunxi assisted her into the doctor's office. The doctor asked about her symptoms, gave her a cursory examination, and took her pulse.
