Early in the morning, after Xenia Wendleton had eaten the breakfast prepared by Basil Jaak, she rode on Basil's bicycle to the TV station.


"Remember to prepare dinner when I come back!" Xenia dropped this statement before turning around and walking into the TV station building.


"Okay!" Basil replied, getting ready to ride his bike to work, but the screeching sound of a car's brakes interrupted him.


The car door opened, and there was Don, dressed in a suit, stepping out of the car. He seemed unfazed by the heat, and noticed Basil. He intentionally straightened his chest, fearful that Basil might miss his diamond pin.


"Mr. Jaak, you sure do take good care of her, even using a bicycle to send her to work so early in the morning," Don laughed while sarcastically eyeing the old bicycle, a look of contempt on his face.


Basil, without batting an eye, simply responded with: "Of course, because she is my girlfriend!"
