The next day, a shrill horn interrupted Basil Jaak's peaceful dreams, forcing him to pull himself out of bed reluctantly.

Xenia Wendleton, working on her breakfast, caught sight of Kayson standing beside the car through the window. Her eyelids lowered as she asked Basil, "Your girlfriend?"

"Which girlfriend? She's my colleague. She's delivering my car. Now I have to drive to pick up the boss every day." Basil brushed his teeth and mumbled a reply.

"Oh!" Upon hearing Basil's words, Xenia relaxed her brows and suggested, "Why don't you invite her up for breakfast? I've bought some dumplings and pastries."

"No time for that, I have to go to the office first, then pick up the boss. If I'm late on the road, I'm in big trouble." Thinking of Jessica Flack's stern face, Basil couldn't help but shiver. He grabbed his clothes from the table and ran downstairs.
