Chapter 2 Dawn Sutton_1

Basil Jaak followed Krystal Flack into Miss Sutton's office, only to find a young girl in an off-shoulder dress sitting at the desk, engrossed in writing with her hair, long and free as a waterfall, naturally cascading down her back.

At first glance, Miss Sutton looked delicate with delicate brows and small lips, just like a fresh maiden from the south of the Yangtze River. But upon closer look, there was a playful glint in her eyes and a slight lift at the corner of her mouth, with a pair of peach blossom eyes luminous and expressive. Not that her movements were contrived, but in her unconscious furrowing of eyebrows and in her every laugh and smile, there was an inherent charm.

It was precisely this kind of effortless grace and natural demeanor that left men unable to forget her.

"I guess this must be the Miss Sutton that Krystal mentioned, she's indeed a beauty." Basil speculated, his gaze lingering on her slightly lifted face for a moment longer.
