Chapter 36 Carefree Green Water_1

A bit later, the room was crowded with bare-chested men, some of whom held wrenches and hammers - weapons that turned Lydia White's face as pale as a sheet and huddled her closely to Basil Jaak.

If he were alone, Jaak would not have feared at all, but now with Lily in the mix, it was inevitable he would be distracted. He felt somewhat uneasy. However, since Jaak chose to confront, he certainly couldn't give up now. Besides, giving up at this point would result in a worse outcome.

"When they start fighting, hide in the corner. Just like you did at the bank," Jaak whispered into Lydia's ear. As long as Lydia was not taken hostage, Basil was confident that he could win.

"What about you? There's so many of them with weapons," Lydia said, worried.

"Did you forget what happened at the bank? The robbers had guns then and I still managed to take them out," Basil said, smiling slightly, hoping to boost Lydia's confidence.
